My Dream has Come True - Now I have questions
2009 Z51 with 38k miles, LS3 with 6 speed, all stock. Just need another key fob. I'm assuming e-bay is a good place to get one? Any better places?
Also, what kind of durable (rubber?) floor mats are people running?
I have a permanent grin on my face. I'm staring at it outside my office window right now... hard to get work done

I don't follow what you are trying to imply... Are you saying that I don't need rubber mats? If so, what is your reason? Or, are you saying that I should be getting another material because of something specific to Texas? The reason I was thinking rubber, is because when your feet are dirty and you get in the car, the mats get dirty. Then, later, you can just hose-off the mats. If I keep using the stock carpeted mats.... I will have to constantly vacuum them and clean them in a more complicated and time consuming way - wouldn't you agree?
@duckvett - thanks, those looks cool. I'll give them a look!

I remember the feeling when I got mine, it literally brought me to tears as I was on the highway. It hit me like a ton of bricks Holy S*hit I have a corvette, My dream has finally come true...
Then I put my foot to the floor... Went to crackle barrel and did it all again the next week
Lloyds Ultimate Front Floor Mats... Lots of colors to choose from
Here are some instructions I found that will help you program a fob when you get it. http://brazosrivercc.com/files/C6%20...structions.pdf

thanks for the programming instructions, I appreciate it. I previously googled that and found many sources for doing it myself - definitely not letting a dealer charge me for that...
Got the lloyds black rubber mats from Amazon - gotta love Amazon prime shipping speeds and return policies - you can buy anything there and return it like walmart hahahaha
Got the car yesterday and commuted to work in it today - will do that every day unless it's bad weather; rear goodyear runflats are at about 50% tread and I don't want to try them in the rain right now hahaha

Congrats...Although I sold mine for an MX5, I can appreciate the "feeling" of first time Vette ownership. I had two before leaving Vette World for the small albeit tamer roadster. Maybe someday if I acquired a taste for the Marvel designed C7 , I will try it again. In the mean time I still enjoy reading about other's dreams coming true and appreciating all of them from a far.

You can use any C6 fob, '05 thru '07 or the '08 thru '13...they all work and program the same, they just look different. Ebay is a great place to find them. I have updated the programming instructions since the document referenced above, so check this thread for instructions and lots of tips from others too:

Nice looking ride!
I bought clear after market floor mats and I take them out when I am at car shows leaving the original ones in at that time.
Also, for the FOB make sure it is #2 if you have #1 or visversa. Look on the top of the FOB to see which number you have and buy the correct one then have the dealer program it for about $75.

Congrats on the permagrin purchase.
You might try the head service adviser at your local dealer for a free fob. They usually have a drawer full of leftovers that failed to go with used cars or those sent to auction.
