Love them all, but just like in the 80s when I always lusted over a wide body 911 turbo, I lust over a widebody C6. This time I can do something about it..........

I like the sleeker look of the narrow body. Comparing the two is like comparing a beautiful brunette to a beautiful blonde, the blonde's alway going to get more attention, but I prefer brunettes.

I like both body styles but prefer the narrow body c6's. Don't like the side scoops on the Grand Sport. Z06 and ZR1 look great, but not that crazy about Grand Sport front fenders.

I bought an 07 narrow body and love it. Paid cash. The wide bodies would have set me back another 10k. I mistakenly told the wife one day that the wide body vettes give me a woody. Her response ' so you bought a car that you don't like?' My response ' its like you honey, I love you but Victoria Secret models give me a woody'. I've been on the sofa ever since....

My first C6 was a 2011 1lt coupe. It was an impulse buy. I traded it in on my 13 GS because I could not afford a Z06 that I really wanted. The coupe was faster and all over the place when you put the pedal to the floor.

I like both but for the money the base was right for me. At the time I bought in 2011 the GS was selling for sticker and big discounts for the base. I wish they would have a GS C7 so I could get a deal on the base C7.

I like this photo ... It's interesting how the reflection of the blue sky on the hood and tail mimic the blue of the calipers.

I generally prefer the "pure" version a given car design, and the C6 Coupe is no exception. But I think the 2006 Z06 design was well-executed, in part because GM resisted the urge to overdo it.

The various tack-on parts they introduced on later C6s just look tacked-on.

One reason the corvette does not appeal to all ages is because it's so large. If GM shortened this car another 12" . the under 40 age would notice. The wide body is a very attractive car . Just needs to be shorter and not as wide. GM wants so much to sell these cars to young professionals, and us over 50 guys. GM will never make a dime off young professionals with a car this large. My opinion is the narrow body convertible is the most attractive.

I don't know. The C6 Coupe was shorter than a Porsche 911 or a BMW M3, and only 2" longer than a Porsche Cayman. It's apparent length is an illusion.

If there’s an option of the two I would always go with the wide body. The wide body has more aggressive style and nicer curves. My C4 I purchased was the ZR-1, my C6 I also purchased was a ZR1. Base models aren’t an option for mw if there’s upgraded models.

I have a '67 coupe also in the same color and I love looking at both and seeing the Shinoda ques still present today. C7 and the C6 GS are no doubt great cars but, for me I'm gonna stay narrow C6. BTW good thread

Actually, that is not true. The original production wide body if you will, was the ZR-1!
However, it was rarely if ever referred to as a wide body as it had so many other unique attributes besides having a huge rear end. That model was truly worth more than just being a wider body, from mid-door to tail end.

This was the wide body ZR-1 which you're referring to:

I've always loved the look of the front scoop in the wide body bumper so I did this. And lowered the stance 1.25 inches.
