The very first mod I did 5 years ago was put on one of the slip on ones from Corvettemods. Very comfortable to lean on, perfect fit and still looks new.

I ordered from corvette mods.
Saw a another post, where a member had same interior color as mine [ cashmere ] and he did his two tone with ebony top/cashmere on sides. And it sold me.
But still afraid i may not like, it for maybe to much padding.
Will see. will try to post before and after pic's

The first 'mod' I did was to buy the same one you are looking at, but in ebony. I bought my Vette in another state and drove it home.

I couldn't deal with how uncomfortable the stock one was...all hard and rough to the touch. My right arm and elbow did not enjoy that too much. Soooo....the next day after getting back home with my new ride, I ordered the one I still have. Still looks good after 3 years.

Get it...you'll like it.

Not too thick at all. Basically same size as the hard stock cover, but softer to the touch.

I have the same one as well (2 tone interior). It's visually awesome and quite comfortable. I wouldn't say it's too thick. Drive with it for a week and you'll realize how much happier your right arm is

Not to Hijack, but...

Do these replace the existing cover, or go over the top? Is there any tape or cutting required?

You simply replace the whole lid. So you always have the factory one.

Just unscrew the old one and reuse the spring. Caution putting spring in new one because you have to bend the "ears" of the plastic to fit it in.

Hello, I'm considering this console cushion for my 08 coupe but can't find the installation instructions online. How do you install it? Appreciate your help.

The DSV offers uncompromising comfort and style. You'll feel like you're driving an expensive luxury car, not a Cobalt.

Mmmmm, Guess its who you get one from... As far as I know, the one from corvette mods , It goes over existing one in car. Maybe other brands/company are diff.

Far as I can tell DSV product mounts diff than, Corvettemod's

Its really easy. Simply open the console cover, remove the screws holding the lid on, take the lid off, and replace it with the new one. It's not a cover, but a full replacement.

I have an '06. I can't say for sure if this would work for your model.

Yea, for the DSV brand.. But I think that the one from corvettemods is the opposite. Its a cover to go over existing..

Just wanted to let member Chiselchst,, know this..

Are any of them more open on the inside, so they offer a little more storage space?
