Default Vert Waterfall

Was out driving with the top down yesterday. What a great day for cruising! I have a 06 Mont Red base model. Problem, as I was driving I noticed a strip of rubber, 1/2 inch wide and 12-15 inches long hang down from the bottom of the waterfall. Just kinda flopping around. One end seems attached up behind the waterfall. I pushed it back behind and up out of the way. What is it? and how do I fix it.

I went to a car show today and noticed a 7 inch piece of weather striping hanging out by the drivers seat under the waterfall....I was wondering what it is also...guess I'll be going to dealership on Monday to get it fixed under warranty......

Yikes! I've never seen anything like that, and I drive around with the top down more than with it up.

Is it this rubber seal that runs across the top of the rear partition? One end pulled free, maybe?

The waterfall is pretty easy to remove. I would just pull it and look.

Mine came out and I just left it out. It is a soft pliable trim on the inside lip of the bottom edge of the waterfall. I never could get mine to stay once it came off so after 2 years without the trim I have not noticed any problems. Out of the country for the next 5 weeks or would send a pic

As I remember, there are four screws that hold the waterfall on. I wouldn't waste time going to a dealer before spending five minutes to remove the waterfall and take a look at what is going on. Probably a little adhesive can fix the problem.

Spend a few minutes and take a look.

You take it to the dealer to take apart and chances are the toneau cover/top will never fit the same again.

Mine also snuck out of the bottom of the waterfall. I just pushed it back underneath and it's not been an issue. Yeah, I guess I should pull the waterfall and take a look. Probably will one day. No hurry.

I took the waterfall off, two top screws and two back pushpins plus a side push pin on the passengers side. The foam strip is a bottom cushion to protect the center console. It is held on with double sided tape. The tape looks like double sided scotch tape. I used the permanent double sided scotch tape and it seemed to work fine. We will see how long it lasts. Thanks for the advice. JD
