Continental tires
Has anyone had any experience with Continental Extremecontact DW tires ? My GS needs new shoes and I have narrowed my choices to these or the Hankooks. Any opinions are appreciated !

Just put these on my ZO6 about two weeks ago. I only have 300 miles on them but I have no complaints what so ever ! I would have bought PSS's but there were none in stock anywhere so I got these. I have run PSS's,PS 2's and these compare very well to them. What surprises me most is the traction off the line !! I have 560hp/530tq and these hook up great !

I am starting to lean towards the Contis, they have better reviews and the grip/wear ratings are very high. Tire Rack here I come !

I just had to reply to this just so I could vent because I've been reeling about my bad decision to buy Conti Pure Contacts on my Subaru Forester. Biggest mistake I ever made. They are the noisiest tire I ever bought. The faster I go, the noisier and higher pitched tone it gets. I have to turn up my radio to full volume and I can still hear them. As for my '05 Vette, I couldn't be happier than with my Firestone Run Flats. Thanks for letting me get that off my chest. Even though the Pure Contacts may be very different than the Extreme Contacts, I don't think I would ever take another chance on a Conti on any vehicle again.

I got Contis last month. Very good tires for the price. I am very happy with them. Lot of grip taking turns and doesn't break lose under heavy acceleration. Very quiet and excellent VFM. Considered Hankooks briefly but these are waay better. You won't be disappointed.

I just put 2 Conti extreme contact on the front of 08 coupe, several hundred miles seem good to me price was good from direct tire, tire wear rating of 500 ride better and quieter than the Michelin pilot sport a/s run flats of course that may be because they are new compared to the worn tires we will see

I have Continental Extremecontact DW tires on my wife's Mercedes SLK AMG. Very sticky. Good wear, quiet, and smooth.
Ordered online from Walmart and installed at WM when they came in. They had the best price and no shipping. No issues with the installation.

Subscribed to this thread Has anyone used them yet on a Grand Sport or Z06, thru the entire life of the tire?
The reason I ask is virtually all tires I've seen hold very good when new, but they get brittle from the heat cycling, and lose traction after about 10k - 15k miles.
I'm on my second set of Bridgestone Potenza Pole Position RFs, and the first set had virtually the same excellent traction when worn to about 3/32 (over 30k miles) but always interested in other tires.
I'm 425 rwhp/rwtq, and these Bridgestones stick like glue at that power level.
