Default Npp retrofit question mild to wild kit

When you install the retrofit NPP kit is there anyway to automate it so it opens the exhaust flaps at 3000 rpm like the factory system?

Check with Sunset Orange Creations, I think they can do it.

Do your self a favor and run the vacuum hose down the passenger side rocker its lots easer and it will stay out of the exhaust heat. Put the vacuum box behind the inboard passengers side taillight, no need to drill any holes this way. Use professional grade Velcro to hold the box in place.

That's the default.

Not for a retrofit kit it's not. Most systems only do open/close on command, not with RPM.

HOWEVER... C6don is correct: check out sunsetorangecreations.com for their Exhaust Commander ELITE retrofit model... this is the only one that allows you to select "RPM mode" where a pre-selected RPM will cause the valves to open. It typically runs for $300. Reviews have been very positive.

Best of luck!

We actually do make a retrofit kit that uses the Exhaust Commander Elite as the controller.

Here is the link to the video of how the controller works.

Here is the link to the product order page:

Thanks!

Is there any danger of water damage to the retro NPP controller in this location? Is the box waterproof?
Thanks

The area behind the rear bumper cover remains fairly dry. The box is sealed.

I have the Sunset Orange Exhaust Commander on my car and it works just like the factory, or have the flaps open all the time, your choice.

does the price include the D.A.S.H. kit?

I already have a dashlogic and a window valet. The dashlogic uses my lock button to cycle through menu options and I'd need the D.A.S.H. kit to move control of the valves elsewhere.

also, it's listed as backordered on the website.. how long will lead times be?
