Keep plugging away on the house projects, it not only keeps you busy and occupied, but also increases the value of the investment.
I am still plugging away at real world work requirements, but only have 6 more Monday through Friday days to do it.
Guess being "old school" or my do your job mentality until it is finished keeps me doing that.
Honestly looking forward to having more time during the daylight hours to do whatever I want or need to do around the house or garage.
One of the issues I got caught up in while waiting for my wife to retire is getting bogged down day to day with house maintenance or issues. My advice is to identify a couple of things you really love to do (mine are shooting sports like trap and skeet and one of the most difficult - pistol, and high performance driving events in the GS), and divide your time equally. Now that my wife has retired last week, we are planning to complete our move to Phoenix. The most challenging part though is recently learning our daughter has near terminal cancer. She's in Salt Lake City so we have to sell our Tacoma property ASAP. We've already rented an apartment in SLC to make things a bit easier for us. Life always has twists and turns that cannot be predicted!

Sorry to hear about your daughter's misfortune. Cancer sucks! Here's hoping things look up once she starts treatment.

Mike that is devastating news. No parent wants to see their child, adult or not, suffer. I wish you strength in the coming months.
We will be in Tacoma (for the summer) around May 5th. If there is anything I, or Carole, can do to help please let me know. Pack, haul, house watch, a shoulder to lean on...you name it.
Stay strong,
Chris

Know that your Hammy's friends will be crossing fingers, toes and anything else that we hope will help. Each of us face our crises in our own way. There is no right or wrong. Feel free to send a P.M. my way as I have faced my own battle against cancer and may be able to steer you toward an answer you are having trouble finding.

So sorry to hear about your daughter, don't give up hope!

My wife's mother is in the final days of brain cancer, not sure what's harder to watch, what it's doing to her or my wife.

Thoughts and prayers to your family.

I’m so sorry to learn about your wife’s mother, brain cancer is a tough one, we lost my wife’s brother a couple of years ago to Glioblastoma.

She passed away today on our way to see her, she had Glioblastoma as well.

She was truly the kindest person God put on this earth. A women of the strongest faith I have ever witnessed.

Finally took the time to snap a few pictures of the reglued dash. Not sure how they turned out, but here they are. I still need to wipe the dash off good; I had the car out for a pollen filled drive.
