A guy when I was growing up (too young to drive yet), had a 68 Biscayne, dog dish hubcaps and a "250" (6 cyl) tags on the fenders, but was actually a COPO L72, 427 car....only thing that was a tip off was the L60 tires in the back and the slight rumble through the super quiet mufflers. Looked a lot like this one

Chrome belongs in the 60s and 70s.

It does look great on that car.

Early spring of 1966 I went to the Chevy dealer to buy a new car and, after finding nothing in my price range, the salesdude said follow me. We went across the street and into a warehouse, up the ramp to the second floor and there, off in a dark corner was the baddest sumbitch I had ever seen: a black on black leftover '65 Impala SS 396 4 spd. No power steering, no power brakes, no power anything but 325 horses. My soon to be bride, the LSDHL said no, NO, NO!
Aside from the white walls it looked like this...

Final work was completed and bill paid. It was exactly the amount on the estimate, no charge for all the plumbers working until 10pm.

I was charged $360 for additional helpers on the estimate. I figured that was to cover a 3rd helper as there were 2 plumbers doing the estimate.

Landscapers making some progress on front yard. Having to fit me in as he has a full schedule of lawn maintenance that is kicking into gear now.

Grass is a mess but new sod will be laid(I hope).

Pavestone will be 2 rows high with a 2 in top cap.
Smaller beds should make for less maintenance.
He forgot one bed in the top photo he needs to add.

That's because it's period correct for the Chevelle. Other than then, you know anything new with chrome is being owned by an old geezer.

The sign would say Pappy's if it was a GSer.

It doesn't matter since I suspect you pay the man to mow and trim. If it was my landscaping I wouldn't do those rounded corners where the blocks meet the driveway and sidewalk. It leaves a small triangle corner that has to be trimmed every time. It could simply be mowed if the blocks were continued straight into the concrete. Just my preference.

More pics of the 66 I say...... interior and engine compartment and you street racing it.............so we can live vicariously thru you......

Another Beautiful Bad Azz Black Bowtie from the days we were blessed with new body tweaks every year!

Yes landscaping, I agree Bad, corners going the wrong, and stone is the way to go, mulch keeps ya busy every year…
