A guy when I was growing up (too young to drive yet), had a 68 Biscayne, dog dish hubcaps and a "250" (6 cyl) tags on the fenders, but was actually a COPO L72, 427 car....only thing that was a tip off was the L60 tires in the back and the slight rumble through the super quiet mufflers. Looked a lot like this one

2016 C6 of Year Finalist
Early spring of 1966 I went to the Chevy dealer to buy a new car and, after finding nothing in my price range, the salesdude said follow me. We went across the street and into a warehouse, up the ramp to the second floor and there, off in a dark corner was the baddest sumbitch I had ever seen: a black on black leftover '65 Impala SS 396 4 spd. No power steering, no power brakes, no power anything but 325 horses. My soon to be bride, the LSDHL said no, NO, NO!

I was charged $360 for additional helpers on the estimate. I figured that was to cover a 3rd helper as there were 2 plumbers doing the estimate.

Landscapers making some progress on front yard. Having to fit me in as he has a full schedule of lawn maintenance that is kicking into gear now.
Grass is a mess but new sod will be laid(I hope).
Pavestone will be 2 rows high with a 2 in top cap.
Smaller beds should make for less maintenance.
He forgot one bed in the top photo he needs to add.

.......and so it began right? I suppose it was the lack of AC or maybe the PS or maybe the 4M....... sadly we shall never know......... ah hell you woulda beat the **** out of it anyway..... out street racing and drinking with Hooligans and such...... would have been a lot of fun though.... at least she let you have a cool car now right? damn right! More pics of the 66 I say...... interior and engine compartment and you street racing it.............so we can live vicariously thru you......
