I HATE washing my car.
Hate hate hate hate it. It's one giant PITA. It's a necessary evil. I like the way it turns out when I'm done, but it feels like such a waste of time. Who here enjoys washing their car?

If I have the time I don’t mine washing it…..if I’m pressed for time and it needs to be washed then it’s a giant PITA.

Like you OP, love seeing the final product. But the fact that my Z wears black makes it quite annoying. Never takes longer than a day for it to look dirty again...

I moved from WA (lots of washing required) to AZ in 2001. In the 7+ years I've had my current Corvette I have washed it four times. Those washings were due to trips to NM that included driving through rainstorms for a minimum of 50 miles each time.
Garage (+ taking wife's car when it rains), California Duster, spray detailer, and machine silver paint = nearly wash-free state.

I don't look forward to washing my car but I don't mind it. It's just something that you have to do.

Indifferent here these days...
I have the following...
2007 Vette...stays in garage so stays clean for the most part.
2003 F250 SD CC White....PITA to wash so does not get washed too often.
2005 Camry.... kind of a daily driver but in good condition... not too often.
2013 Avalon... This is the wife's DD and is a maroon color... gets dirty fast...I hate trying to keep this one clean..

Just like doing my own detailing, washing the Corvette is therapy - I love it! Our Corvette never goes back into the garage dirty. I have been known to wash the Corvette or the `56 Chevy in the rain and dry them inside the garage.
My pickup and my wife's Malibu may be run through an automatic car wash, but the Corvette & `56 will never see the inside of one.
Investing in waterless wash in anticipation of possible water restrictions imposed during this current western drought.

That's what I need to find... I will always do the vette and Avalon myself, but the others? That would be OK....

I enjoy washing the Vette. The other two cars in the fleet - not so much.
Washing gives me a chance to perform a paint inspection, and enjoy looking at it again. I usually wash it about every other week during driving season.

I've washed mine a grand total of 4 times in a year of ownership And I live in Michigan where the weather and roads aren't conducive to car ownership of any kind

Taking care of my Corvette is very therapeutic. I work a pretty stressful job and I really enjoy going out and washing and waxing the car at the end of a tough day.
Washing it makes it look good. Waxing it makes it look brand new.
