I encountered the same problem with my front end. With most of the dragging taking place on the air dam but I also noted drag damage on the radiator support bracket. Based on this I did install "fangs". They were an easy install and I have found that they have taken some abuse since the install. Better them than the aluminum bracket.

It's possible to go into some monstrous driveways if you go in at a high angle. Sometimes not possible because of it being too narrow, cars parked in the way, etc...but worth trying. If you go in straight, almost any driveway will cause a scraping airdam.

I have been entering the driveway at a diagonal from day one. Like a 45 degree diagonal..

My driveway is not steep and yet if I go in straight, I will scrape the air dam. I've been into really steep driveways and if I go in at almost 90 degrees, no scraping. I do the 45 degrees every day at home.

My words precisely. Given this inherit risk, I am amazed to read posts about folks wanting to lower their vette.

I always scrape going out, even at the largest angle, but never coming in. Put Fangs on the car for a bit more protection of the radiator support. Only the right one has a bit of scratching, so not a problem. The air dams are a bit ragged, but like it says in the owner's manual, that's to be expected. For $50, the Fangs are worth it.

Rule #1: Never pull into a driveway straight.

When I enter any driveway (flat or steep) I always get as close to the grass as possible and never start turning the wheels until I get at least 1 tire on the driveway, most times even on the grass, then start the turn.

Same for backing out. No scrapes. Lowered all the way on stock bolts. Steep driveway!

Does anyone have to deal with rolled curbs? I scrape my current BMW Z4 getting in/out with those stupid curbs and it looks like a C6 has an even longer/lower nose. It is around $3,500-4,000 to have the rolled curb redone into a normal type drive approach which some in our neighborhood have done. I have considered the Bridgit but not sure the HOA will go for it.

Default been there

I have a 10 - 15% downward angle to my driveway so alittle scrapping is life for me; I took some plywood and built up a little two step platform that has reduced the damage to alittle noise......not bad

This is a difficult concept to get across, but it works and allows driving in and out of almost any driveway without scraping.

I'm in same boat as you. I had a Mustang lowered with the Boss splitter. Even stock the C6 is lower. I can make it but only if I'm by myself and cut it super steep.

They make alternatives out there (Griots Garage) that allow a little more linear pull in. I need to redo my drive someday anyway and just planning on making it easier to get into.

Yes, I drive in the grass with the two passenger side tires. Doesn't hurt a thing.

Where the "grass" note is I also have a sprinkler head right in that corner and my wife parks in that spot because of damaged sprinkler heads and line. I have been considering widening my drive with some pavers and relocating the sprinkler head in that corner but trees along the property line prevents me from moving it all the way to the property line. In a few years I hope to have land, no HOA and a much bigger garage and flat driveway along with a house that I designed and built. Until then I have to live with the constraints of this one.

I feel your pain. My driveway is actually fairly flat, but that huge curved curb before it is a pita. I can't change it either because of the home owners association.

I have the Bridgit as well. It's definitely helping but I'm still scraping airdam a little when I'm backing out.

Better than nothing for sure.
