Advanced
Just got back from my trip this weekend. Starting in middle Georgia, went to Destin, over to TX for Houston and Galveston, up to Iowa, then Colorado, back through Iowa, and finally back home to GA. Had a blast! Drove through a snow storm crossing Nebraska but no problems.

Power Tour 2015. Madison Wisconsin to Baton Rouge, LA.
May go down to Corpus Christi this fall for Vettes and Jets. They say this may be the last time for that as the elevators on the Lexington are getting tired.

We then stopped in Nashville, Lancaster PA, then back home a few days later.
You will love taking road trips in the C6. It is a highway cruiser to be sure, and very comfortable.

Plans are to do a partial Route 66 run (in September) to hit some spots we missed the last time. From North Carolina to St. Louis, then to at least Tucumcari, NM, but maybe on to Gallup. The road changes so much there is always something new.

In July we will travel out to SD for the Black Hills Corvette Classic. Still debating on whether to attend Corvette weekend at Eureka Springs again this year, or Funfest at Effingham.

'Long trips are for other owned vehicles'. How come? IMO the Vette, especially the roadster is a fine uber sports touring car. My only complaint is the driveline tunnel heat. Ive taken my 06 vert on a 4,000 miler thru eight states without any worries. Had a ball, top down in every state.
But, I now use other vehicles for these long ventures because of the comfort, hauling space, the wife, small dog, and a multitude of other reasons. The Vette is my car for personal use (but I'll probably be selling it shortly).

Getting time off is a real challenge but I have made plans for Cruisin the Coast in Oct. Seeing some old navy friends and in near by La a cousin. Lots of cars, old and new...

2014 was Sturgis, Deadwood, Badlands, Devil's Tower, Yosemite, King's Canyon, Death Valley, Grand Canyon, Fossil Butte, Bonneville Salt Flats, Western Sections of Route 66 (Did the eastern half years ago because we live in Missouri), Great Smokey Mountain NP, Tail of the Dragon.
2015 plans, June, Two week trip, Blue Ridge Parkway, visit points of interest in the north east and stop to visit family (most of my brothers and sisters still live in the Port Jervis NY area), drive to Maine for some lobster, Take the wife to Niagara Falls, visit my father in PA then home. September, Grand Tetons NP and Yellowstone, NP.
Of course there will be plenty of top down winery cruises in between the long trips.

September, we plan to go to Glacier Natl Park, and, into Canada, and, back down to Yellowstone, Pike's Peak, and, other places.
Last year, we did Pike's Peak, but, it was so cloudy that we almost missed the top ( LOL ), then , down to Arches, 4 Corners,Tuscon,Palamos, and, to the Alamo before heading home.
Have had a blast for 7 years traveling around this great Country.

we are thinking of going to Niagara falls from Hampton VA sometime during the summer. Just returned from a day trip to Charlotte NC visiting the Hendricks Museum then onto Charlotte Motor Speedway for 10 Laps then back to Hampton 680 miles 18 hours and 27mpg including the laps and the Vette didn't miss a beat and turned 97k miles

Next week I am going to the NCM Bash in Bowling Green and from there I'll be heading to Danville, VA to see my daughter's family. The complete itinerary round trip will be about 1700 miles. This will be the longest trip for my 2012. I am excited.

My avatar is a pic of a portion of roadway in the Cabot Trail.
The Confederation Bridge to PEI is over 8 miles long, and a neat drive.
I suggest also taking the car ferry over to Nova Scotia from PEI, or that car ferry from Nova Scotia to PEI, depending upon which province you visit first. BTW, it's free to get to PEI, by boat or bridge, but you have to pay to leave.
We did both the provinces a few years ago. We travelled to Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia first, then took the NFL Bay Ferries from Caribou NS to Wood Islands PEI, just a short trip to Charlottetown. We used the Confederation Bridge to get off PEI, into New Brunswick.
Both PEI, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick have lot's of great scenery, tons of historical attractions, and very nice weather in August.
No issues getting on or off the car ferry, and my car is lowered on the stock bolts.
You will love it!

Just drove my Jetstream Blue '08 from Pittsburgh to Tampa the other day-saw dozens of C6 Vettes-didn't see a C7 until I was passing through Orlando on I-4. Great long distance cars !! Heading back to Pittsburgh Friday.
