Default Tailight Install

I received the Eagle Eye LED tailights. They are labeled 1 and 2. and R and L. Will they only go in 1 way? on the right and left side. Regards.

Default 1l 1l 2r 2r

Mine are marked as follows. 1L 1L 2R 2R. I know my Right from Left. I cannot tell the inner from the outer. I assume the tab for the screw only works one way. I will try the install tomorrow. Thanks

They lights are side specific. Either "left" light will work in either hole on the left side and the same for the right side lights.

You actually can mount them on the wrong side BUT they will not fit correctly. Each pair of lights is angled slightly to match the curvature of the rear fascia. If you get any light on the wrong side it will not look (or reflect) correctly from about 15-20 feet directly behind the car (centered).

There have been so many confused buyers of these lights when going to install them. One would think the seller/manufacturer would include a simple schematic as a reference as to where 1L and 2R go.

hello, I just installed these lights yesterday on my 09 C6 base.
I also was a little confused, they really give you no direction. But over all still very simple. Just make sure the ones labeled 1L are on left and 1R are on the right. clip facing top and install from bottom then pushing up. the reverse of how you take stock tailights out.

hope this helps

1's on the Left. 2's on the right. Look at the angle of the screw tabs on the top. Also you can get rid of the dreaded drip by drilling a hole at the bottom of the bumper.

So what your saying is both 1's on driver's side and both 2's on passengers side? It would help if they would have labeled driver or passenger on them

Mine also was numbered 1, and 2, and left is 1 and right is 2, and this way when you hit the brakes, they are angled straight back to blind the person in back of you.
I also never received instructions of installations.

Or just stop using water to wash your car. No drips with waterless wash.
