I have a bunch of water collect in the normal places on a Corvette, the bottom of the windshield, those damn tail lights, hatch, mirrors. I have a air pressure machine so now I can just blow it all out!

I have a 2005 vert and the same thing happens. Haven't given it a thought.

You can let water drip out the base of the mirror or the bottom of the door, but either place can get clogged and not flow well.
Here's the solution to the taillight drip. After you remove the taillight, drill a small hole in the center of the dirt puddle you see. Water will then drain out the inside of the bumper cover and onto the ground. The dirt puddles will be gone too.

I have an 08 Vert and after I wash it I open the doors and water goes out at the bottom of the door at first near the front fenders. Not sure it is the same issue as yours but after a couple of mins it stops dripping...

To stop the side mirrors from dripping take a leaf blower or shop vac and just blow the water out. I do this on the tail lights and also the rims to get water out of the lug nut holes because otherwise once you drive it the water flings around the wheel wells and cakes dirt on. Usually the car wash is never done until it either sits for a few hours or is driven and then wiped down again with a detail spray. Sometimes I will wash it and give it a quick dry and then drive it down the street and hit at least 60 mph to blow out any water. Then come back and give it a quick detail and it's good to go

I too have an '05 and I don't notice this much after I wash it but I do notice it after a hard rain. And yes, it does seem like a lot of build up. Honestly, I've wondered about it too but I guess as long as it drains out....we're good!
