How long has it been since you washed your Vette?

Washed mine yesterday.
It was 32 degrees out, but went to the pressure washer and brought my buckets and mitt. The water is heated there and I only use the wand to soak it and rinse it.
Brought it home to detail. That's snow in the yard in the background. Had quite a bit of snow, ice and sleet lately in Dallas area. A couple of trips to take my kid to school got it pretty dirty and I had to clean it up.
Mine gets pretty dusty when it's not raining. I just wash and rinse with the wand down the street then dry it with micro fiber towels. I have two buckets and all the stuff to wash it, so I will probably start washing it at home when it gets warmer.

I have been to some self car-wash places that have signs up that state "No Buckets Allowed" I have used self car-washes when in need and can't wash it at home but I don't like the pressure wand thingy so I try to wash it at home.

I have not washed my Corvette since October. It is still sitting in the garage with the Noah car cover on it but I do start it about every three weeks or so. Contrary to what some people on the forum say I do wash my daily drivers very frequently and it does not seem to hurt the clear coat at all. I have also tried not washing the Corvette and using only micro-fiber towels and waxes and detailers etc but that just does not work for me. I don't know how anyone can never wash a vehicle and keep it perfect all the time unless you never drive it.

I mean actually had it in your driveway with a bucket of soapy water, hose and sponge?
For me, it's probably been at least 6 or 7 months....probably since some time last summer. Yet my car looks freshly detailed shortly after every time I park it in the garage thanks to some great detailing stuff and my supply of fiber cloth rags. Not driving in inclement weather helps, too.
I do take it out whenever the forecast calls for dry weather days and for us here in the PNW, that's been pretty often this winter.

I drove about 200 miles round trip this weekend to see my daughter and her family. It rained the whole way up and the whole way back but when we got home, the rain had stopped.
So......out came the bucket, hose, Griot's Car Wash soap, and sponge. No way I was going to try and clean it up with detail spray and microfiber towels. Prolly took less time and got a lot cleaner considering getting those tires and wheels and exhaust tips and all clean and shining again.
I usually don't drive it in the rain, but even knowing it was going to be a very rainy weekend, I took it instead of my regular rainy-day car just because it's more fun to drive and it was worth it. Forecast is for rain most of the week so it'll be sitting in the garage freshly detailed waiting for the next sunny day.

Washed my 08 (once) when I had it polished after it had spent almost ten months at the dealership during the recession. That was it. Now car cover, duster, micro fibre & Meguiar's Detailer to keep pristine. 😊 Oh yeah and I don't drive it in anything less than perfect weather.

I just cannot figure out how anyone cannot wash their car but every 4 years or so. I don't care where you live if you drive it it is going to get dirty. Unless what you have is what I like to refer to as the 10 foot shine. That is it looks great from 10 feet away, but up close you will see swirls and micro scratches.
