Just to make a point, when the C6 came out there was several threads a lot like this one. C5 drivers said how C6 was ugly, hideous headlights, etc and they would never get rid of their C5s.
Most of us are now driving C6s.

Beats me what people here are whining about the interior. This is a sports car and not a lazy pig of an SUV to be larded up with all sorts of luxo fru fru.
The pop up lights were a disaster. They make this nasty clunk and even when fairly new, closed unevenly making the C3, 4 and 5 look terrible. This was a gee whiz item in the 60's grown silly by the 80's and that it persisted to the 00's indicates just how hidebound GM is as a corporate structure.
DRL's do not increase safety. They only make for oncoming driver distraction and are a source for misery on the roads. Thanks GM. You see, GM needed to make DRL's due to a law in Canada for Canadian cars. Due to the MBO at GM, some genius, now retired to Naples, no doubt, explained that by not having a change order Canada to US, GM would save a few $$ on each car and that was all it took.
Once GM started down this road, corporate intransigence made it impossible to reverse course.
Overall, it'd be interesting to get some opinion on the C6 vs C7 looks from one who has seen neither before. Today the C6's sinuous lines look dated because we've grown used to them over the threatening C7 lines.
My guess is if they were both issued at the same time, the C6 would win the looks award.

Finally sat in one at the auto show. Really liked the sport seats.
The fit reminded me of my old '91.
Aside from that, the interior, after reading all the rave reviews, didn't wow me compared to my '12.

At the auto show last year I fell in love with the C7 and was on course to buy one but for several reasons, performance being priority, it changed and ended up in a 2010 ZR1

I still prefer the C6 GS and C6 Z06 over the C7. The C7 is cool and there are things I like about it..its great to see some of the new technology..but something about the body I still am not crazy about it at some angles.*

C7 is a beautiful car. When they come down in price, I'll might get one but I'm in no rush with my barely still-in-warranty C6 GS I can finally have fun with. I'm secretly holding out until the C8 comes out with a Zora, mid-egined supercar however. #notdesperate

I hope you are saving up. From reports I have read the mid-engine version will cost way north of $100,000!

That's why I love my GS but also love the new goodies in my house. Just comes down to priority. After all, I'm not some fat-*** Kardashian **** or test-tube teenaged Bieber billionaire concoction. I served my country and I work for a living so obviously being a working man, I'll never be able to afford anything else but hand-me-downs.

Bought my 08 new in May of 08. Loved every thing about the car and thought I would keep it forever (sold it to a friend Sept 14). Ordered a 15 in Nov. of 14, took delivery in Jan 15. Now, with just 400 miles on the 15, I cant think of one thing I miss on the 08... Still love the C6's but the C7 is just so much more in so many ways.....

I just can't get past the C7 rear: the way the taillights are pointed upward. The black drippy mascara fangs that remind me of Alice Cooper makeup. It looks like a Japanese import from behind. The widebody C6 just looks amazing & exotic going down the road. My LS3 is not giving up much on power (436 vs 460). If I liked the design I would still wait till 2016 since the 3rd year of production is safer. 2017 for a Z06...

While the C7 is slick as a new babies butt, the C6 is still a beautiful car. Next time one passes, take a look. I know you will agree.

sorry, but to me the C-7 looks a helluva lot meaner in the rear compared to the camaro. jmo. as far as which is the better car btwn the C-6 and C-7 i'm finding it kind of hard getting past the rear pillars on the C-7 due to creating a bad blind spot which i think could be a bit dangerous. other than that, its a beautiful car inside and out. they didn't put the blind spot detection mirrors on the C-7 did they? if not, it would be a good idea to do so.
