Surf city garage products are the best I have ever used, from detailer to tire dressing, this stuff is amazing, you can get it on their web site, some products are sold at Wal-Mart. On my Black vette I use their wax for black and their black detailer. If you have a dark or black vette you wont be disapointed

I don't know if it's classified as a detailer but Chadwick's Triple Play is great..

Same here. Different protectants w/ different detailers on black paint: streaks that now have to be wiped hard.

I had that same issue with my previous spray detailer (I will not disclose) Until i changed to Megs. Last Touch Spray Detailer, also bought a quality micro fiber cloth & now no more streaks or rubbing hard to remove it on my black car, much less of a hassle.

Mothers Showtime been using it for many years on all my cars. Easy to find not that expensive easy on easy off. Best price is a gallon on Amazon JMO.

Weird. Meguiars detailer is what I used until the hazing/streaking problem began and tried other brands.

If you get a chance try the "Last Touch Detailer" I think that works better than just the reg detailer spray seems to evaporate faster without leaving streaks also I got a better quality micro fiber cloth that helped

So, this is not over-the-counter but a few clicks on your computer, tablet, phone, etc., and you're good to go. Been using this on my 2008 since new. Never has streaked once. I also have a clear bra on the front and it works great on that too.

Bought the Mothers Showtime and the Lucas Slick Mist and tried both. Found the Mothers took a bit more time, and did not evaporate very quickly soon rendering my microfiber too damp. The Lucas Mist evaporated faster. Shine was good with both. I will buy the Griots next and try that next up against the Lucas. Unfortunately, no surf city available (and I am anxious to try that as I have never heard of it before...)... I'll post my findings as they happen...

Obviously I don't need to shop retail for my detail sprays, which are different from quick detailers and spray wax/sealants. This is likely why each acts different on your paint, because they are slightly different in design.

That said ... at retail I would suggest two items:

1. Megs Final Inspection
2. Duragloss Aquawax

Now if you decide to shop online, Finishkare 425 sells and resells by the gallon. It wont break the bank and even offers an anti-static ingredient that can reduce (not alleviate) dust and dirt.

Wow! I checked the price on the finishkare 425 and it appears to be very cost effective. I am definitely going to try that product. I have been using the Meguires quick detailer for years however I am going to try the FinishKare 425. It is quite a lot less expensive.

For dark cars I reccomend Meguiar's Ultimate detailer and Ultimate Spray-on wax.
