Default Good job GM

Seems like there is a lot of GM bashing in this forum so I just wanted to take the time to thank GM for making these great cars. It would have been easy for GM to discontinue the Corvette for any number of reason but they did not and I am very happy they did not. What a great car!

Thank you GM for the Corvette but you sure could do a better job with the quality.

Amen..... I've talked to plenty of friends with Mustangs, Challengers, Chargers, Vipers, Porches, Audis, etc. and they all have their share of horror stories, it's not just GM.

Great Job GM!!

Screw GM, it's upper management and the Board. Thanks to the True Believers who are behind the Corvette and a few other great cars made by companies run by egotistical fools who worry more about their societal status and the clubs they belong to than the cars and the customers of their companies.

These True Believers have weathered one insult after another at GM and FCA but still produce terrific product - at least isles of them in a sea that's often corporate dictated mediocrity.

Ditto!!! I have owned GM vehicles almost exclusively most of my life. I figured out the other day that I have owned 31 different vehicles in my life and all of them except a 1937 Ford 2 Door Sedan (Chevy powered), 2 Toyota Corolla's in the 1970's, 2 Opel's (while stationed in Germany) 1 Buick Skylark, and 1 Pontiac Firebird (1968), have been Chevrolets. All of my GM products have been great. I have had no more problems than anyone else has with any make or model. Fortunately, I do all of my own repairs once a vehicle is out of warranty so that helps reduce the frustration factor.

Great post.

All things considered, my Vette is the best, most fun car I've ever had and I intend to keep it for a very long time even though there are newer, faster cars out there. There's nothing like my red Vette sitting in my garage. Thanks, GM...

Good times...

I don't like this poll. Because the #1 worst company in America (comcast) isn't even in the list...

The cancellation of CORVETTE was discussed in the 50's...so I think we're good to go by now..

I believe GM considered cancelling it during the C6 years also, just glad they did not.

I agree, not saying GM is not worthy of some bashing now and then, but they have done some good things too.

Thanks GM for keeping the dream alive. I had a corvette when I was in my early 20's, a bran new 68' convertable. Did some crazy things with that car back then, (dumb and stupid at that age) but no one got hurt and I had a lot of fun. Now I have a new 13' GS and the feeling is the same (without the dumb and stupid stuff), still having a lot of fun but appreciate driving it even more. Thanks for making one of the world class cars at a price us common folks can afford. We do apppreciate it !!!!!

Me too! I love my Vette

Love my GMC van, loved my old 78 Trans Am! I agree with 69 L46 4 Speed in that I do my own repairs which keeps the gray hairs & bashing to a minimum!

Interesting post to be sure. Like a lot of us, I've had a Corvette of one year or another all my adult life and will continue to own one....or maybe two. I've loved them all with all their faults. But its quite obvious that GM could have done a lot better job in quality control on these C-6's. I mean just imagine that you go out on a nice evening for dinner with your wife/girlfriend...when your done you go out to climb into your freshly cleaned and waxed C-6 Corvette to leave the parking garage and "WHAM"....the F#$%#$G Automatic won't shift out of park !!!! Come on GM !!!
