Yo bordovskyj -- donwil is our resident hater of black wheels.

He's a nice guy, but unfortunately all his taste is in his mouth.

Just ignore him, and treat him as you would a friend on medication.

I have a white vette, and some forgestar cf5's on order in a custom finish they offer - 'black graphite', it's essentially a silver base coat with a dark 2nd coating, looks like a few different finishes depending on the lighting conditions.

black looks great too ... during the day time, when the car is standing still.. but it's pretty overly done too : )

I think it'd work best with the translucent targa to tie the wheels to the top.

Roger, your photos all look very dark.
Perhaps it's just the way my monitor displays them compared to what you see on your monitor???

Anyway, I lightened them a little which I think shows off your car much better.

Again, it may just be my monitor.
If they do appear better on your display as well, you can lift them from here if you'd like.

I'm not into the black wheels but this set looks really good. It might be due to the bright reflection on the leading edge of rims though.

I think it is the difference in displays. Yours look washed out on my laptop. Mine is a cheap on though.

Black wheels are played out IMO. Something like anthracite adds depth and interest while still being dark. I've had anthracite then dark bronze.

I have the f14s in liquid graphite..they are not quite black so u get contrast between the tire and rim
