How can you say that GM is not addressing the issue? There is a recall in place for 2005-07 and all other C6's will be addressed under customer satisfaction policy.

There must be 25 threads about this issue right here in C6 General.

Are you talking about the problem with the low-beam headlights where they stop working when the engine gets hot (or they don't work at all)? This problem is caused by a broken wire inside the fuse/relay box by the battery. I just got my recall letter a couple of days ago. Since my low-beams quit working about 6 months ago I have already replaced the broken wire and added a redundant wire on the opposite side of the wiring board. I found instructions for the repair on this forum:

If this is what you're talking about, GM has already sent me a letter and has already fixed mine, no charge.

You did NOT "read them all" or you would have seen the .pdf of the jumper wire and the instructions for installation provided by GM. End of story.

Learn something new every day. I've never heard that term before this thread. Is it a European thing or a regional US thing?

I hope this is not "high jacking" a thread, but I received my letter last week and I am the 4th owner........

Have an appointment with Watson Chevrolet in Tucson--at the Auto Mall.

IF I were not to get the "fix" for the recall, would it be bad? I have not problem with the lights that I know of.

I hardly ever go out at night in my car(s) as I am old so I do not really know if I have a problem. When I drive to see the relatives in Phoenix, it is the day-time.

And this actually should be 2 sentences, but it's all run together without appropriate punctuation.

Part in red should be 2nd sentence.
