my 2 cents: I got a set of thin spokes from JW Motoring ( a vendor, I think) and they were very high quality. I got lots of compliments on them. Would not hesitate to order again. Give him a call

Clearly a cast wheel from China may be inferior to a high quality forged wheel. At the same time, it's a fraction of the price.

Casting aluminum produces inferior material properties vs. forged, and is also more prone to internal metallurgical flaws like cracks, voids, porosity, etc. , which can lead to imbalance or a wheel with less structural integrity than either a well cast or forged wheel. Hopefully non-destructive quality inspections are done to minimize the defective wheels that get thru. But with low cost, typically inspections are minimal. Maybe just a visual.

If you just want an around town wheel that looks good, the chinese cast wheel is probably fine. If you intend on really pushing the car, high speed runs or heavy road course abuse, a well designed, higher quality wheel may provide you more safety margin.

Research a little and find our about the design and quality control you are buying.
