Need opinions on license plate frames.

Simplicity is the essence of good design IMO. Anytime you add another set of flags (license frame, muffler panel, etc.) or another label that says "Corvette", it just looks tacky. Even if the C6 didn't have the subtle "Corvette" impressed lettering or the crossed flags on the **** end, just about everyone would know it was a Corvette. Nine years of the same basic body shell makes it easily identifiable. My triple black GS has a glossy black frame with a Chiclet sized rear view camera mounted to it and it's just the look I prefer.

But I don't know about your laws and such but out here a license plate frame that covers the state such as your does is a "reason for encounter" with an LEO and fix-it ticket, just sayin

The yellow helps keep me legal because I realized on the test drive that I'm VERY visible

I was worried a bit about it "drawing attention" but I've shown it to several LEOs and all of them thought it was great. One said, "As long as you're not misbehaving you have nothing to worry about."

I have one (2 actually) son who is a deputy sheriff (SBSD) and he got pulled over by a local LEO because his plate was covered, I laughed

I don't understand why some folks feel compelled to scream "Corvette" louder. Do you think folks feel confused about the model/brand they are driving? Do owners think other drivers that are behind you can't see all the other Corvette signage on your car or otherwise recognize a vette? What are you trying to communicate?
OP if you don't want to appear "tacky" and really want a frame, I'd recommend a chrome or color matching frame that is simple and of clean design. Frankly, I prefer a bare plate.
License plates are tacky to begin with: don't make them more tacky.

There are haters of chrome wheels, black wheels, automatic transmissions, and manual transmissions, base 'vettes, and Grand Sports, 'vettes that have mods, and stock 'vettes, verts, and coupes, C6 vs. C7 vs. C2, red, white, green, silver, blue, name the color and someone hates it.
But freakin' license plate frame haters! Seriously?
Damn, makes the war in Afghanistan appear petty by comparison.

Haters on forums are as common as stink on a pig.
