Oh, I don't know....

While it wasn't sunny and 75 degrees out, we did have a nice break between rainstorms today, and since the roads were nice and clear, I thought I'd take Red Racer out for a spin down along the waterfront.

I love the Northwest.

I know people who have already parked their car for 2 months, hard to figure.

"The car is engineered for all season use"... The car may be, but all tires aren't. I am not going to invest in a new set of tires so that I can drive it a couple more months of the year. Spring will here soon enough.

Up to Chicago and back to TX ....... No snow .......No ice (except in our drinks) Saw all of two Corvettes ........ If peeps can drive their Jags, Merc's, Audi's, etc. there is something wrong in storing a Corvette. I know peeps in the norther states that ride their m/c's year round as long as the roads are clear. I'm one of them that did so when I lived north of Chicago growing up. I personally feel not driving it does more harm than good.

I driven up there on my G Y runflats before I wore them out in January and February for both of my late parents birthdays since I bought the first of several C6's in '05. Never had an issue.

I read a report stating that Lamborghini is offering a winter driving course for owners of their vehicles in Aspen Colorado in February.
So it's alright to drive a Lamborghini in the snow, but not a Corvette.
It reflects poorly on us.

Not surprised. Otoh, all those gold chains with oversized medallions most Corvette owners supposedly wear might get awful cold or worse, get stuck to the wearers bod after a night spent drinking at either the Red Onion or, the Golden Horn. (my late mothers favorite watering hole........)

Why does this bother you so much what other people choose to do with their own cars? Big deal, you drive yours in the winter tell your wife to give you a pat on the back. Good for you. Move on with your life.

Lambo's have AWD, night and day compared to a vette. Many can be rented in Aspen. If you have enough $ to afford a Lambo, I'm sure salt is the least of their worries.

I TUNE INTO THIS THREAD TO SEE THE PICS OF FORUM MEMBERS VETTES WITH ICE, SALT DIRTY BLACK SNOW JAMBED IN THE WHEEL WELLS AND FENDERS, SO FAR I SEE NOTHING.

Doesn't bother me at all, it's just an interesting topic for conversation.
There's no snow to take any pictures of, at least not around here.

Will someone please lock this thread. It's the most useless thread topic of the year. I still can't believe the amount of traction this thread receives day to day

I'm thinking of starting a thread asking why people don't drive in the rain with their top off or down, or windows down?????

Default In Vermont, where I'm from...

That wouldn't work out so well (

)

That's one of the reasons I live in Texas now -There is usually plenty of sunshine & high speed toll roads are a plus (
