Best C6 Base Battery Replacement??
Battery just died for second time in five years lol - anyone have a solid replacement for the AC Delco joke they give you with the car? I was thinking of an optima yellow or red top - do either of those fit within the engine bay without issue?

We've had good luck with Delcos, when I replaced the original in our car as a precaution, we went with another Delco.
One possible issue with Delco is that if it dies under warranty, you might have to wait over a weekend to find an open Delco dealer.
Most battery companies produce decent quality today, but all of them have occasional problems.
Optima get mixed reviews, some folks love 'em and others say they are overpriced junk.

I've had really good luck with Optima Red Tops but as stated above, other folks don't sing their praises.

Never had a problem with Walmart batteries and there are Walmarts everywhere if you have a problem.

I've always used the Autocraft batteries from Advance Auto for my cars. Never had a problem with them.
If you leave these cars sit for any period of time they will drain any battery. Trickle chargers or disconnecting the battery is a must for storage.

Interstate batteries are great. Just replaced my Interstate in the 1972 BB Corvette after 8 years and the battery still load tested good.

I assume you guys are aware that almost all car batteries are made by only 1 or 2 companies and sold under different brands. For example, Johnson Controls makes well over 70 % of all batteries sold in the US. What I conclude from all this is that brands, therefore, don't really make a difference. Keep the battery tenders hooked up and almost any battery will work in the Vettes.

take a look at xs batteries. They produce very high quality batteries. I have a few in my boat with a huge sound system, 4 seasons in and they wont die. I killed 4 batteries a season before the switch
