My artistic skills are bloody awful but I can cut and Scotch tape with the best of them! This is my preliminary artwork for the tattoo I'm going to have done on my left calf. Jake will be done in black with shading. Maybe a few 'knit' lines on the top of the skull and some subtle red shading in the eyes for a little realism.

Well it is probably not a bad tattoo design, but it is not Jake. Jake has no wings and the skull and eyes also are not Jake. I guess when it comes to Jake I am a purest and think it needs to remain as it is.

If I did that... I wouldn't have gotten a Corvette OR gotten married OR had kids OR had all these other tattoos! I need to balance a Jake Corvette tat against the Shelby Tiffany Snake tat on the right leg. My back piece is a beauty! A skull wearing a flight helmet on crossed Cav sabers.

Scars and tattoos. Scars are just tattoos but with better stories!

It works as long as you have a C6. C7 and future generations will all have different emblems. But if you can live with it, then do it. Honestly, I would never even associate that tattoo with Corvette if I didn't know what you were going for.
