We had a rough winter last year in NY and I drove the C6 everyday with no problems. Ice, snow, slush you name it. Obviously you have to have some technique but I never once came close to getting stuck. It was actually a lot of fun. The last blizzard we had, after the roads where plowed, I insisted that we take the C6 shopping instead of my wife's FWD car. However, she has dedicated snow tires too and I'm a firm believer in changing out our tires in the winter. That said I can't praise the Michelin X-Ice tires enough. I bought 18" ZR1 rims and am running 40's in the rear and the stock size in the front. The rear tires are less wide than stock. I can't justify letting such a beautiful car sit in the rain and snow.

Sucks for you homeslice. My 06 Taurus doesn't need "technique" to drive through any amount of snow. Why the extra effort when you don't need to? Life is complicated enough, I don't need a car that takes technique to drive. Just turn the thing on and drive. Cars don't remain beautiful for long when they are used in the winter slop, no thanks.

It's not for everyone that is for sure. With all the HP and torque you can't get crazy. My life is not that complicated. I like to have fun and if I didn't feel safe I wouldn't do it. The tires allow me to have this fun and stay safe. In Europe that drive Mercedes and BMW's all the time in the snow. Not a big deal. I would rather have a RWD car with snow tires than a FWD car with All Season tires.

Blasting through snow blizzard" sure sounds different than backing a car out of a snow drift.
