Change your clutch fluid, that may clear up the clutch issues. Very easy, there are threads on the forum on how to do it, just be careful and dont get any fluid on the paint.

Good advice. I did my first oil change two weeks ago and I couldn't believe how bad the clutch fluid looked. It's something I will keep an eye on from now on.

The GS is a sweet ride.

there really is nothing wrong with the Bose system. Sounds better than the 10 speaker sony system that's in my new escape.

The pre 2012 7-speaker Bose setup was not bad, but they GREATLY improved the system in 2012 and 2013 when they went to 9 speakers. This is the first car that I will not need to go aftermarket to get the sound I crave.

To the OP...congrats on your new ride.

I haven't read about the TO bearing being an issue and I'm on this forum everyday.
I had the dealer install Michelin PSS's before I picked up my car. No wheel hop issue.
My I Phone has a good nav system when needed. The sound system is fine. I notice it's better when playing Pandora through it, or using my I pod playlists.

Congrats and welcome to the GS club. My impression in 2500 miles since we bought our '11 3LT vert is about the same. I'll be going to PSS's very soon to get rid of the RF noise.

My 08 vert has about 10,800 miles on it and ... yea... its the wait to have em wear out that is getting old. I agree.

Mite haffta lite em up a lil more, as the wear on them is still fine.

Strange that mine are lasting good (original F1 runflats).

****The stock Bose stereo? It absolutely sucks*****
Absolutely disagree but then I'm not an audiophile either.
Now I happen to have some "ghetto urban" type music (don't ask) I just tried in my 2011 GS with the 10 speaker Bose system. It happens to be by "Nelly" a St Louis rapper who is quite good, musically speaking with a full range of sounds including, yes you guessed it, lots of potent "base" or "Bass" as it should be called.
Sounds better than my sons cars that had pretty big systems in them is all I can say!!!

very nice 'slowV6', you'll have to change your moniker now………

FWIW, I didn't wait for my stock runcraps to wear out………..Michelin Pilot non-runflats, couldn't be happier

I don't want to burst your bubble but your '11 GS does not have the upgraded Bose system with 10 speakers. That came in 2012 and it is nine speakers. You have seven speakers in your 2011.

The Grand Sport is a tremendous value. Regarding the Bose system, I'm starting to wonder if VERY late 2011's from the factory may have had the better speakers in them? I know the head unit and number of speakers was changed for 2012 but my 2011 was built in July of 2011 and the stereo is quite impressive. I believe the 2012 models came out in August so mine is definitely from the last batch of 2011. My comparison sound wise is the Mark Levinson Audio that was in my Lexus. The Bose in my GS is only one step down from other auto makers premiums imo.

the 10 speaker system is in the new vettes. My 013 has 9 speakers in it and sounds just fine to me. Actually I have to turn the bass down quite a bit. If not, the door panels will loosen up.

I thought that in 2013 GM changed from Goodyear to Michelin on the Corvette. My 2013 Convertible came stock with Michelin run flats -- I have 16,000mi on them with plenty of tread left.

You must have the 427 vert if your car came stock with Michelin's.

Yea, the stereo in my 2013 sucked, pure plain and simple. It was the first time in 25 years I felt I had to spend money to replace the audio system it was that bad. Even my wife commented how bad it was and she could really care less about music in a car. Maybe the one in my GS was defective. But it sucked, period.
