Recently bought a 2008 c6 corvette, but the dic is in german and I can't seem to get it changed to english. It's driving me crazy. Anyone here know how to change it to read english?

From the OM:

"Language: This option allows you to select the language the DIC, the Head-Up Display (HUD), if your vehicle has this feature, and the radio uses to display messages. Each language mode will be displayed in its own language. For example, English will be displayed as ENGLISH, Spanish as ESPANOL, etc. If your vehicle has the navigation system, you will not have the Japanese language mode.
Press the OPTION button until LANGUAGE appears on the display, then press the RESET button to scroll through the following modes:
• ENGLISH (default)
• DEUTSCH (German) • FRANCAIS (French) • ITALIANO (Italian)
• ESPANOL (Spanish)
If you choose a language that you do not understand, press the OPTION and RESET buttons for five seconds. The DIC will begin displaying all of the various languages one by one for as long as the buttons are pressed. When the desired language is displayed, release the buttons and the DIC will set to this language.
When the mode you want is selected, press the OPTION button to set your choice and advance to the next personal option."

Try this:

Press and hold the "options" button until "language" appears.
Then press reset button to scroll through modes.
Chose "English" option and press "option" button to save.

I recently bought a second FOB and reprogrammed both of mine. Now when I use my new Key FOB 1 I see the previous owner's name in the DIC.

Time to change it. Key 2 had no special text in the DIC at start up.

Found the problem. It wasn't the dic. It was the fob. When I was using fob 1 the dic was in german. Then I used fob 2 and the dic was in english. Now all I have to do is to find out how to reprogram fob 1 in english.

Each fob (1&2) is programmable to set your preferences. If you're still having problems, My money is on you having a fob that is either #3 or 4.
