I don't really have a one looming question I've been afraid to ask. I'm not afraid to ask questions, but I'm also the kind that will put in a considerable effort into figuring things out myself/via research first, so I don't ever really view my questions as stupid or something I should be afraid to ask. Sometimes I just want a current, human opinion over past hearsay as well.

Every car I have ever towed/trailered has had "T" hook fittings on the frame/unibody structure front and rear. They are oval shaped holes and should be on each side somewhere near the suspension points.

1) Why is there no section specifically for tires to eliminate the hourly "which tires should I buy" threads?
2) Why does corvette forum not display member's age?
3) Why is there no pop-up window that says "I see you're trying to post a new thread, did you actually use search before you post?"

Sorry that's more than 1 question.

I've been a GM mechanic for over 40 years and I learn new things every day.
One of the things I was embarrassed about was a friends 2010 ZR1 had a high speed vibration. We narrowed it down to a bent rim on the right rear. While inspecting the car (he was the second owner) I noticed a dent and some paint scraped off the frame in front of the right rear wheel well. Then on further inspection I noticed the right rear axle was a smaller diameter than the left side. Put all of this together and it looked like somebody hit something and broke an axle and replaced it with the incorrect one. One of the guys on this forum pointed out to me that one axle was supposed to be larger than the other. Who knew? Not me.

Sometimes I'm a little embarrassed to ask questions but I do.

That's a pretty cool piece of trivia to know!

Driving with the convertible top up and windows open, at highway speed.
Is the wind buffeting going to cause any damage at the rear of the top?
Like the window popping out, for instance.

1. The wheel and tire section is here: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...s-and-tires-6/

2. Forces member to view other users profile to see their age. Kinda creepy.

3. I got nothing.

Export Stingrays had a towing eye in the car when it was delivered. There is a rectangular cutout panel on the rear bumper, that accesses a threaded nut or mount for that towing eye. That eye should have been included with American Stingrays.

It's pretty much the same reason I didn't get either the LS7 in my base A6 Vette or the A6 in a Z06. GM didn't offer it and I accepted what I could get.

There's nothing special about the engine, except the longer crank for the dry sump couldn't be done on the regular assembly line. Be happy knowing that except on road race tracks (the only place the dry sump is needed), the A6 is usually the quicker car.

Sorry that's more than 1 question.

Why do people not like repetitive threads when all they have to do is not click and not enter them?
I like the new threads on old topics, something new always comes of them...not always, but sometimes.

Helmholtz resonator, they claim it does all this crap but it simply reduces noise and probably HP...

Why are silver GS drivers from Florida so stingy with the beer?

Seriously why do performance tires for our cars cost so much?
Can't cost 3 times more to make.
