Remove roof top
Hello I am a new C6 owner I have a removable roof. However not sure how to remove the roof correctly. The dealer did not explain but if I have to go back I will to get instructions.
Thank you,

the first time just have an extra person with you... Release the two front levers...then push the button for the center rear latch mechanism but make sure you don't get your hand whacked by the part when it releases... It is very tightly sprung...
from underneath push up lightly near the windshield frame and lift and pull towards the front of a car, and once itis free let the other person release so you can take it all to your side....
when you go to the back of the car the front edge goes in first and will slide into the slots then you just drop the back in to the rear slots it.. You'll be able to do this in about 30 seconds by yourself after a couple of tries

we all have it if you're not a Z06/ZR1
two on front each side and one handle in back. Lift up from front. Store in rear. Done. Opposite to install back on.
It's easy.

I know when I got mine from the previous owner, it was really hard to get off the first time. They hadn't used it much so it didn't want to come off. If all three latches are released, don't be afraid to break anything.
Also, when putting it in the back, just push down on the rear edge. You'll be able to tell when it has 'clicked' into place.

A pair of leather work gloves will keep your fingerprints off the top, prevent burning your fingers on a hot day, and prevent accidental dropping.
Cotton is too slick, unless its got the little gripper nubs.

Got a pair of cheap Cotten gloves with the rubber dots for traction to wear when I remove the roof or replace so I do not leave smudges on it. Be gentle and enjoy and two people requirement is only a couple times.
BTY today was a great day with the top in the back.

Also where I live I don't try removing the top if it is much over 90 degrees. That thing gets hot!

Only 2nd day with my Vette, and yes that top gets pretty darn hot. I bought two very well insulated / neopream in the finger/palm areas potholders. They look like Lambchop the puppet, but no more burnt fingers, arms or hands.

When removing or installing the top, make sure you have found the center of gravity, especially if you don't have much upper-body strength.
When installing, use the designer's sculpting line to align your pins & holes.

If the dealer did not cover it I suggest you also learn how to open the car doors with the manual lever on the floor and how to get in the car with the key if the battery is dead.

All very good tips!
It may be akward at first, but it really is VERY easy once you get the hang of it.
My top is never on and unless it's raining, parked, or below 10 degrees (CELCIUS)
I can remove it in about 5.4 seconds, faster than it takes for Vert owners to drop their top.

For us older folks with equalibrium problems having a heavy weight at the end of your arms while bending forward and then walking with it is like a drunk taking a sobriety test. Fortunately, the Lexan top is significantly lighter and becomes the top of choice on mine.
