What's YOUR regret?
We all spend lots of $'s on parts, accessories, upgrades, etc....
Most time they work out and we get exactly what we wanted, but sometimes we later look back and wonder what was I thinking.....or if I had only known I would have never done this.
Interested to hear from others on things they have done to their cars that they have later undone or wish they never would have done.
This should be interesting....

Not to change the subject, but MY regret is that I bought a 1LT car; so got no add ons; I should have researched more and reallized that 2LT is SOOO much better and pays off at trade in time also; unfortunately I greedily got a newer model with nothing on it, and low miles vs................
I also am GLAD that many add ons are overpriced as it controls my option fever....sorry, 69$ for a painted license plate is insane....I have a polished Stainless Steel one; $22.

Burning Brakes
Bought me a Hurst shifter. Loved the shifting action but it rattled like an old wooden roller coaster in 2nd and 3rd gear. Had to take it out. Sitting on a shelf right now.
Also got aftermarket red-stitched shift and emergency brake boots on an online auction site. The red is a bit too "candy" and the shift boot sags just a little under the chrome ring on the shifter. It's a puny detail but it... drives... me... crazy!

I would have waited a year and bought a Grand Sport with the F55 suspension. (That would have saved me a boatload of $$$$$)
They didn't offer that combo in 2010, so I got a regular 2LT coupe and have been modding it to get the wide body I wanted.
Also, I really wish I had waited to get a Corvette until the 427 Convertible came out. If I had, that's what I would be driving now.

C6 of Year Finalist (appearance mods) 2019
I regret buying a 06 MR vert with cashmere top and modding it the first year. Turns out I did not enjoy a vert most of the year here in Texas. Traded it in on my 07 coupe that I still have. Was lucky and was given more on trade than I paid for it.
I learned what I like and do not like in mods on the 06, so I was more selective on the 07.
Had painted bezel in the 06
Went with CF in the 07
Liked the painted one but love the CF.

The mods I regret buying, and have since sold were:
1) Full Exhaust Plate
2) Rear Sequential turning lights.
3) Body colored door handles and rear spoiler.
Things I'm glad I have
1) Coupe with transparent top
2) 3LT - I may not use all the options, but I have them if I ever need them.
3) Silicone hoses for the coolant system
and best of all
A seasonal licence plate so I only need to run a rear plate on the car.

i did the same. bought my 013 new and didn't realize the g.s. model was different than my 2lt base. that said, i will NEVER pay 10 to 15 grand plus mine for one. i'm thinking putting a better suspension and headers on it and thats it. that should satisfy my attraction for the g.s. model.
