Actually $30k for any Corvette with 1LT and a lot of miles is probably about right in the end no matter what Corvette you buy so a Hertz special should be even less. But in the end they are going to treat it like any other 2013 Corvette 1LT for resale value.

I've taken rental cars to track days, and I always see a few cars on the track with rental car logos on them
BTW: Camaro SS holds up great. Mustang 5.0 not so much.

They were too expensive. $100 with Budget got me a Camaro SS with the brembo brakes
The 5.0 doesn't come with big brakes, so it failed miserably. My buddy lit a cigarette off the rotor at the end of the day and over heated every single fluid (brake, oil, coolant, trans. I'm sure rear diff and PS if it had sensors).

I wouldn't want a rental Vette but not because of the reasons everyone else has. I wouldn't want it because it's undoubtedly an automatic.
It is amusing to read some of these responses though. At the end of the day they're all just cars. Some of the Hertz Shelby Mustangs are going for pretty good money now.

I acquired a 2011 Blade Silver over black leather Grand Sport coupe with just under 15,000 kilometers on it up here in British Columbia. It is fully loaded with every option available at the time. It was a lease return. I had it inspected and the only thing needed is perhaps a fresh set of tires. It is a dream to drive and since the purchase (at just over Wholesale), I have put another 2,000 kilometers on it. Not even a rattle and everything works like new. Would I buy another under the same circumstances? .............. sure I would.
