2011 GS Vert Steal it?
I sold my 05 (nine years old made me nervous) Looking to buy C7 but if I can save enough I would be perfectly happy with GS under Warranty still.

This car is close, has 9800 miles
Thinking about offering $38K cash to settle on $41K Anymore than that and I would rather buy a new C7 for another 20K.

Why not get the GS for now see how much you like it and then in 2 years see if you can get a used C7 if you want to make the jump. Also - coming from a guy who is ready to trade in his brand new '14 GMC pickup on a 15 or a different model truck I can testify that its best to not be the guinea pig for a new model.

FINE looking GS. I'd say grab it and enjoy it for a few years until you can buy a used C7 (maybe a Z06.....vert ) for a nice price.
Let someone else enjoy $20k of depreciation on their new C7.

IMHO - No chance they sell that car for $41,000.
$45,000 is the market price right now on a 3LT GS and it's sitting on the original Runflats that are not long for this world at 14,000 milesso expect to pay another $1500 - $2,000 for tires.
I want to hear their laughter when you offer them $38,000

I wouldn't buy a new corvette ever. Period. I can't think of a car where you can find so many examples that are commonly overly maintained, garage kept, babied, and barely used.

No go. Roof was filthy. Radio had no sound. Filthy wrinkled seats. Bad vibe. And Out of warranty. . Sold my 05 Monday. Just thought I would check out some in warranty C6s first.for $20k more I would rather get a C7 very at Supplier pricing.for around $65k. Will look at a few more. Thanks for your input

Correct me if I am wrong....looking at the pics on the site, the car is a GS with a manual 6 speed transmission. That would mean it's a dry sump car and the battery should be in the back. In the pics it looks like the battery is in the engine compartment. Is it different for verts vs coupes, or am I missing something?

IIRC dry-sump was only GS Coupes Manual Transmissions, no verts. The supposition was that a vert owner would not track their car.
And Tbong, always trust your gut instinct, too many nice cars out there.
