Default Michelin PS2's out of stock

I've been on back order for Michelin PS2's 325 30/ZR19 (2010 GS) for a month with no prospects as to when they will become available again. This is from Tire Rack and many other dealers.

Searching this forum, I found a few posts where this constant "out of stock" condition appears to be a pattern with Michelin. My state inspection is now expired while I wait, so no driving the car until I find a solution.

Anyone else waiting on stock?

I found one dealer on Amazon with this tire in stock at double the normal discount price ($1000 per tire).

Lesson learned. If you're due tires and want the PS2's you'd better start planning for a wait.

Some cos. have production run schedules. Have you called their toll free or written to Michelin and asked why? Their customer service may actually know something. I'd follow up w. a written note tho so that it becomes something they may feel compelled to respond to.

It's become a very popular tire for our cars because it's really as good as the accolades it receives...I have them (non-run flat) on my GS, and they transformed the car; it's more responsive and helps the car make left/right transitions much better than the run flats it had. Now, my car spends time at the track...if yours doesn't, then their excellent wet performance is worth the price of admission...

Michelin makes these tires in production runs, and with the demand being what it is, I'm confident they will be plentiful soon...

Jerry,

You're Tire Rack link takes me to a non populated tire rack page.

I can assure you the PS2's are out of stock with no prospective delivery dates. My order is already in to Tire Rack and I'm now thinking of canceling and going non run flat. What a pain!

Michelin, you can't sell what you don't produce for inventory. What kind of manufacturing model doesn't deliver enough product? This backorder situation has been going on for about 6 months at least!

We have both the Pilot Sport PS2 ZP and the Pilot Super Sport ZP in stock and ready for immediate shipment in OE C6 sizes.

edit: after re-reading your post I see that you have a Grand Sport and yes the 325/30-19 does have some availability issues. According to Michelin production started on 7-27-14 and they should have all back orders filled in 6-8 weeks.

I pulled up non run flats. Your OP didnt specify which type you were looking for. I think my next set will be the NON run flats. I want to see how much better they perform.
