Question of the Week: What’s the Ugliest Corvette-Based Nightmare You've Ever Seen?
If there’s one thing that really gets under my skin, it’s seeing someone who has taken a Corvette platform and turned it into some awful contraption that completely disgraces the nameplate.
Come on, don't be scared to admit it. You've probably seen a few models yourself that you'd pay to have hauled off for demolition if you could. Whether it’s a paint job more fit for a circus act, or a body kit that not even a clown would want to be seen in, there are just certain things that one should never, ever do to anything tied to a Corvette.
Take for example this n2a Motors "789" built on a C6 chassis, which is a complete abomination of the Chevy nameplate in my opinion. The fact that the company, n2a Motors, even had the nerves to call this thing “iconic” is a disgrace to 'Vettes, which brings me to the Corvette Forum Question of the Week: What's the ugliest Corvette-based nightmare you've ever seen?"

The car doesn't know it's not suppose to look like a 57,58,59....it's just a car, it has no feelings...

You should be flattered they chose such a great platform as their chassis.
Personally, I liked this car when I saw it in person. It's a very clean and well done car. Using a Vette as the donor car for the mechanicals was a plus.
By using your line of thinking, every kit car and serious custom (Barris, Starbird, etc.) car ever built would be considered ugly, since it tarnished the name of the brand.
Everyone has their own opinion of ugly and beautiful, so I question why a Corvette Forum Editor would want to pursue this path.
Certainly no one complains about your screen name being Detroit Steel that you use on a forum where all the cars are plastic.
If I had the available funds, a 789 would be in my garage. They have tastefully married three platforms into an exceptional, one of a kind, modern auto.
The 789 is so ugly it's beautiful, like certain dog breeds. It's outrageous and would certainly fit into the scene in L.A., where I live. I'd certainly buy one as a weekend car if the price was $20K or less.
I'm not really fond of any pace car.I think the graphics are ugly..As are those idiotic headlight "eyelashes" that were out a few years back.The chrome "shark tooth" looking grill inserts on the c6..ridiculous.But hey,I like c4's and gold chains and have a few aunts named Maria and uncle tony's so what do I know..
