Default SLP loudmouth help

How is the drone in a convertible? I want the aggressive note and I'm assuming that the drone is less in a vert than a coupe since I rarely have the top up!

Manual or Auto. Makes a difference due to RPMs at cruising.

I gather you don't have headers?
I'm running the lm2 also and its an auto coupe. minimal drone during cruise w/out headers but the drone is pretty significant with headers. I must say the note is **** tho.

Loudmouth 1 is noticeably louder than 2. I have LM1 on my coupe and it's very loud. The drone is intense, I haven't drove with the top off yet but I guess it's much worse in a very since its not as hard and doesn't vibrate as much.

If you have a manual no need to worry about drone. You can just up shift or downshift as needed to escape the "drone zone."

Not to sound sarcastic at all ,but why can't you downshift with a paddle shift auto as well. I have a standard so I really can't speak about an auto transmission.

I'm leaning towards the LM2. Aggressive sound without splitting my ears open. And of course its a great price.
I've owned Borla and GHL.....time to try SLP.

my fusions will be here tomorrow so my lm2 will be listed in the classifieds next week. and that's IF the fusions sound nearly as good. if not...the fusions will be listed.

Simple answer? Most people simply don't. They'd rather come on here and whine about drone.

The LM2 has interchangeable resonators. If I'm not mistaken, you can probably get one that's similar to the LM1's resonator for maximum sound.

When I bought my '09 C6 M6 AW coupe, it was stock except for the Loud Mouth exhaust.
I just love the sound, no drone, it's loud and I drive hours at 75 mph.
Question:
Can I tell visually if my LM's are 1 or 2?
Nothing written on them.

Sure, if the resonators are welded, you have loudmouth 1. If they're band - clamped it's LM 2.
