Default Random seat memory

My c- 6 2006 Z51 has a random seat memory that drives me crazy! When I get in it goes to my settings SOMETIMES. Or when I turn off the car, open the door it goes forward to some random place & tries to do a "Christine" like the movie on me! Fob battery has been changed to no avail. Is there something I can do to fix this ???

My '10 GS had a similar problem in the 1st year or two. They had to replace a memory module someplace. It's worked correctly ever since.

Move the seat to where you want it to be for exit. Hold down the button between 1 and 2 until it beeps twice. You must press that button after engine shut down.

Only if your car has the manual transmission. If it has an automatic transmission, it should move to the exit position automatically when you open the door.

Be sure you're always using the same fob or a fob that has had the exit position programmed for it.

I forgot, but that works on manual also.

Do I need to remove the battery from the fob to reset everything in this messed up thing?

Personally I think either you or your car has early Alzheimer's.
