Mine was a 1986 Chevy Nova. Assembled in CA at New United Motors from Toyota Corolla parts. Great car though. Pretty much a Corolla by another name. I was 30.

Never had a "new" car. Always low mileage, used vehicles. I guess the closest to new I've purchased was my 1998 Z28 with less than 5000 miles on it.

'73 Pontiac Grand Am just like this one only in Cameo White. It was my very first car ever; bought it off the showroom floor. Oh, how I loved that car!

1981 Pontiac Formula Firebird, 4.9 Litre turbo V8, 85 mph speedometer, and about 200 hp at the crank, WTF.
Still managed to get arrested in it for way over the then speed limit, but that was small town Texas.
Enjoyed the car.

1971 VW SuperBeetle. Cornered like it was on rails with proper tires on it. Auto crossed it in the 1,600-2,000cc class. It needed a better shifter but I did pretty well.

I had the same car and color but mine was a 1972. It had a badge on the fender that said 2000 or something.... For me it was my very first car at 17 and got it from my god parents for $400. Only had it for a year or so. Some old lady pulled out of a side street in an Olds 88 and I T-boned her. Car was totaled but I did get $1,500 from the insurance. That allowed me to buy a Triumph TR6. That car got me hooked on always owning a convertible!! Below is what it ended up looking like after I fixed it over the years right before I sold it.. Still my favorite car for so many reasons...
