Need help installing the F55 shock simualtors
Changing leaking F55 RTD shocks to regular shocks.
Bought shocks and shock simulators from ZIP Corvette:
The two-cavity simulators plugged in shocks OK.
The three-cavity simulators pins don't line up with the plug to the position sensors:
Plz chime in if did this before.

I've never installed these...but i was reading the instructions.
Did the error codes clear? It says it will trigger them but it will go away.
If all the clips are inserted correctly is should work i would think.

Figured out what happened! The two plugs to two of the shock solenoids were toasted, WTF . Service Ride Control and Max Speed 255 km/h messages don't seem to affect car. I am torn between buying a set of simulators or driving the car as it is - I will never go faster than 255 km/h (155 m/h) anyway.

I've always heard you had to take it to the dealer and get F55 disabled with a TechII. And even then you have to find a competent tech that knows what he's doing.....

I had DaSilva Motorsports disable my F55 with a TechII a couple of weeks ago when they installed Z51 shocks in mine and everything works perfectly, no codes whatsoever.

I also saw (in the past) people reference a tech II to delete the messages.. When mine needed replacing a friend mentioned the simulators and although i am not made of money LAUGHED in his face..i for one bought my C6 BECAUSE of the F55 and could not imagine swapping them out.. even after replacing the expensive shocks.. It handles irregular surfaces so much better. i test drive both and on these roads around here? F55 is a must in a vette..

C6 of Year Finalist (performance mods) 2019
I could be interested in buying the used F55 shocks. If interested, PM me with price, mileage, and the year of Vette.

And FWIW, I find the Z51 shocks the handle bumpy roads around my area just fine, it is not bone jarring at all. It's not like it was a night and day difference since I got rid of F55.

I've worked in "controls" my whole life and guessed the same. Its just a content dummy signal. Haven't yet researched the values.

This is what we have come down to...we have to try to fool the computer...LOL! If it were me, I would just measure the resistance of a working shock and try a resistor of that value. I think it's a DC signal, so impedance shouldn't be a factor...but it's a place to start.

When you see the price tag to replace them you will change your tune rather quickly! I was quoted $2400 to change just the REAR shocks on mine. Changing to Z51 shocks was a no brainer for me, I was able to do all four of them for a small fraction of that price tag. I loved having the F55 system, it's very cool (and I would order it on a C7 too) but it's way to pricey to stick with it once the shocks are toast. I have heard that the C7's magnetic ride shocks are only $400 each, considerably less than the C6, so that's good news for the future at least.

convincing others you did something good to your car because you chose to NOT keep a highly desirable option and downgraded the suspension is not right..

Again, "we" have a different sense of perception.. that statement is ridiculous... there's a reason Ferrari uses that tech, there's a reason is the highest option suspension on the cars and trucks it's offered in. ever see the video of the 1st gen on the C5?? and that was the 1st gen.
