Possible 427 Convertible Purchase
Today I looked at a fully loaded white 427 convertible that only has 1400 miles. The sticker on this car was just over 91K and the local dealer will let it go for 63K and is and is offering 40K for my 2010 CRM Grandsport 2LT with 4300 miles. I think this is a fair deal overall, but the goofy exterior stickers and blue interior on the convertible is not my preference. Further, the overall build quality of this particular car is not on the same level of my GS because the front bumper and some of the interior trim is poor fitting. My question is what would you do? There is no doubt the 427 convertible is a more unique car with a lot more equipment than my current GS. However, my car is absolutely perfect and I really prefer the CRM color.

Buy what you like!
I could not buy a car that had interior colors I did not like, the stripes can come off (although personally I am a fan of the stripes) but you love your current car keep it
Their will always be other 427 verts to look at and consider

Of course they're offering you a good deal on your car. That's because no one wants this nasty blue one with the stickers all over it and poor build quality. Keep what you've got, ESPECIALLY if you love CRM. You will regret buying this car before leaving the dealers lot. If you want more power, throw a supercharger on your existing 2010 GS. I've owned both a GS and a C6 ZO6. A supercharged GS is one fast car. Almost too fast and it would cost you half the money.

Why bother?
I think you answered your own question.

Thanks for all the responses. After coming home from the dealership I looked at my existing GS and have decided to keep my car. I was amazed at the difference in panel gaps and build quality in my car vs. the 427 convertible that is for sale. Maybe it was just this particular convertible or maybe my car is better than most. Regardless, I have seen the light!

A wise decision - but sounds to me that you are Not in love with your current ride that much.
Make a list of what you would consider switching to & what would not be acceptable.
Then start looking!

And I personally Really like the White with Blue 427 vert Color Combo and if I was to buy one, that would be the Color Combo I would want.
Of course that's just me
And on the other hand, to buy a 427 with that color combo and then change it, IMO, would lower its value.
Either way, with the panels not fitting too well like you said would be a Red Flag to me too and would need further research as to why
Just my 2 cents

A different perspective
Hands down the 427 'vert will be more desirable and worth more than your GS in the future. With that said, it's your choice, why not find a 427 'vert you really like...and then do the deal? The prices on 427 'verts are dropping all the time.

427 purchase
I would be more concerned over the motor than the color. My '13 convertible is a great car but after 3000 miles it stared loosing oil pressure At 3600 miles the motor needed to replaced.

That's 1 out of 2500 or so. Buy it.
