Suspicious mind....if anyone wanted to get out of ownership of a car like this - it wouldn't be that much of a hard sell.

Ummmm, what? Upon closer observation I duly noted the door is in the unopen position...which is kinda what I alluded to when I mentioned the recovery vehicle operator...ah, never mind. The door fried in place.

Diamond and Cirrus Aircraft are 99% Composite Material. Comprised of Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic (GFRP or Fiberglass), Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP or Carbon Fiber), Foam Core, and Kevlar. The only metal on a Diamond Aircraft is the Engine, Propeller, Engine Mounts, Engine Horse Collar and gear. The 'Firewall' is Fiberglass with a thin sheet of finger slicing .010" 301 1/4 Hard Stainless. Where the Spring Steel Gear Mounts to the Fuselage is Composite. As are all of the spars, bulkheads, longerons, fuselage, empenage, stabilizers, and flight control surfaces.
