Default Damn I love this car

Just wanted to say how much I love this car, it's insane.

It's an 08 6mt with z51. Bone stock with NPP.

I've changed cars once a year for the past 12 years, all but one were performance cars. This is the first car I've owned for more than a year, nay, actually I've had it for a bit over two years now. I daily drive it, and have put over 40k miles on it already. And amazingly I still love it more than ever.

Last night, after a loooong week at work, I decided to balance myself a bit and treat myself to an evening mountain cruise. This isn't my first time taking the car there, and I daily the car, so it's not like I haven't driven it for a while or anything.

But I guess putting this car in its element, i.e. twisty roads, windows down, exhaust roaring @ partial throttle (I didn't go above 40mph as I try to be responsible on public roads lol)...damn, I just couldn't stop laughing like a little boy. The instant torque making uphills feel like flat road, the noise the car makes, how flat it stays through the curves...ahh bliss. Wish the seats actually held me in place but meh, at least they're comfy

Somehow GM just really got this car's formula right for me. Lightweight, low center of gravity, RWD, 3 pedals, naturally aspirated V8, and a trunk that I've stuffed more things in than I could have imagined...dammit I want to go for another drive now

Sorry for the wall of text, gotta get back to work again and figured I'd share the best day of the week before I do

When your car makes you smile and laugh, that's when you know you made the right purchase. Glad to hear your car makes you laugh!

Funny, nice to know that I'm not alone. My C3 Vert makes me talk to myself however, our '10 GS makes me cry & slap myself!

Sounds awesome. If we could only be as happy about every decision we make in life.

I think it'll take another Vette, say a zr1 or c7z to help me with my issue here Then again those cars could be way too much for public roads in the mountains. My car only has 430hp and I never get out of 2nd gear in the twisties already.

My advice: Avoid the Forced Induction forum.

It really does not help that a vendor here is offering 12 months @ 0% apr for an SC kit installed and tuned...I fight myself everyday...

I was like you I changed cars often, I have had my c6 for 8 years now. It is no longer my daily driver, but when I take it out and open it up, it is pure exhilarating pleasure.
We took it to Ft Lauderdale beach last night and coming back on a long curved on ramp my wife and I were giggling like kids
