... With that being said, I don't have an overwhelming feeling to own one. Since its debut, I've truly tried to like it, however, I never get that instant love attraction that I have with the 6th generation Corvette.
The C7 is an overall more advanced, improved Corvette but I still prefer the interior/exterior design flows of my C6.

I really like everything on the C7 with one exception... The back. I am *trying* to like it... hoping it may grow on me... but I just think they botched the rear. It makes me think of the Batmobile (not a good thing). From the other angles... I dig it.

I like both my C6 and the C7. I'm partial to my C6 because I've customized it to my tastes with many expensive mods, but the C7 purchase will occur. I'm just not in a big hurry to do so. I'm perfectly willing to let others deal with new model bugs for a couple of years before I Invest my green.

Everyone has their likes and dislikes. I loved Corvettes until the C4. I hated it so much that I really never paid much attention to the C5 and C6. I thought they were plain looking too. I finally decided to give the C6 a try and discovered it was awesome. Then the C7 pops up and I thought it looked great right out of the gate. Best one since the C3. After seeing quite a few on the road the last 6 months, my interest has subsided so am sticking with my C6 for awhile.
There was a C7 pulling onto the freeway ahead of me last week but when I got closer it was a Camaro. From behind they do look similar.

I think the new C7's look great - they really stand out coming down the road; however, they're a pretty big departure from the C6 body lines. I think they look great though and I'd love to have one in my garage parked next to my C6.
It doesnt make me love my C6 any less though. I still think my car looks awesome and its a blast to drive every time I take her out. So the C7 is great but just different, and the C6 is still just as amazing as ever.

I'm beginning to love the c7's, they are a natural progression of the c6- and a nice one at that. I do like the pics of the ones that have had their rear end painted body color- they should have done that from the factory. I still love my c6-I think it will be one of the more popular models as years go by.

The Back....on the way to work last week I followed a C7 for 5-6 miles, in my Avalanche not the GS, I possibly damaged my eyes. I keep thinking the C7 will grow on me but no, don't like the roofline from the rear 3/4 view either. New C7 owners love the car, cannot deny them, just not for me.

See. What did I tell you? If someone doesn't happen to be overly fond of the C7, then you are a "hater". Where in my OP did I even suggest that I hated the C7? Huh? Please tell me. Are you so sensitive that you take personally anything short of absolute love and praise for a C7? You really need to get a life!

I don't think anyone here is bashing them, just posting their thoughts on what they like and dislike about them. I have things about my C6 that I don't care for same as the C7 but don't hate either and am happy for those that own and love their C7.

Just seems, like clockwork, that somebody posts about how much they dislike the C7 and how the C6 looks better. There must have been dozens of threads like this one so far since its introduction. If ever this was appropriate, it's appropriate here. Same C7 criticism, different day.
Why not post this over in the C7 section since that is the focus of your thread?

I like that GM has changed the look so dramatically - cause as much as I love my 6 - it was due for as styling facelift.
As for appealing to a younger crowd - which is neccasary - cause there aren't enough of old guys like me to support the new sales much longer. They are only half way there.
Wait for them to pop a V6 turbo into the Caddy ATS to make it a V - then offer it in a lower priced C7 - which won't be called a Stingray....
Am I wrong?

I don't like the back and never will, the rest has grown on me. I don't have a burning desire to get one, though there is no denying it's a great car and much better in most ways to our C6's.

I love my 10 GS.....There have been only a few Generations that I took to immediatly, the C2 when I was younger, the C3 and the C6. On the fence about the C7 but I will get used to it. I have owned a C4 which I came to appreciate and a C5 that I also came to love.......so it takes a while for me to warm up to some of the designs but the C6 was an instant I gotta have one of those......and so I do.......
The C3s were great, I had a '72 but I didn't like them AT ALL after that with the friggin' rubber bumpers. It was like they took a car designed with chrome bumpers, then just removed the bumpers.
The 4s were boring; looked too much like a Camaro/Firebird. There was no instant "That's a Corvette," from any angle.
The 6s always looked good to me; I liked that they brought back the exposed headlights. It was cool in '63, but it had run its course IMO.
When I saw the C7 last year I thought very seriously about buying one (I emailed a local Chevy dealer last fall, inquiring about them, and they never returned my email, lol. I guess they were not interested in selling new Vettes.)
So I pondered it over and by mid-winter decided to buy a C6 instead. Now, I like its looks as well (if not better) than the C7 and it was half price. I've put about 1200 miles on it (2007 3LT) and no regrets.
I have always thought the rear end of a C6 was as good as this, which the C7 can't hold a candle to:

But it's ok to post this ^^^^. How many people post THIS over and over. We as C6 owners have the right to our opinions just as the C7 opinionated crowd do!
