Splash Guards
Needing opinions if splash guards or mud flaps are worth installing? If so, which is the better one to install, splash guards or mud flaps? Thanks in advance!

Is this for a standard or wide body? If it's for a standard, non wide body, I suggest the GM splash guards. They look like they came with the car and protect from rock chips. I found this install you tube of them.

I have the GM splash guards on by 2005 Convertible. They are a must have item and easy to install.
Good looks and functional

It's the first thing I did when I bought my Vette. The fronts snap in the backs you have to remove the tires and drill holes into the wheel house.
Tip for the back: They come with double stick tape, I positioned them using the double stick tape then drilled the holes using the Slash Guard holes as a guide.

Before I installed the 'widebody' panels, I had the GM splash guards.
As above, they looked great and were well integrated with the car.
Definitely worth the reasonable price and effort to install.

GM splash guards all the way. They look and fit great offering the protection that your quarter panels need from rocks. GM Parts house has the best price on them that I found.

I must be the only one who had trouble with the GM splash guards. Put a set on my '06 and could not get the strip of gray 3M adhesive body tape to not show when viewed directly from the side. A few years later I had a well respected Forum sponsor at Carlisle tell me he could install them on my '08 with no problem. His best installer tried several times and couldn't get it right, (gave me my money back, he wasn't happy, but he did give the refund). I won't bother with splash guards anymore.

With that said, I don't understand why they don't use black adhesive tape....

I read some of these but didn't see yours before ordering them for my 06. Guess I'll see how it goes???

recently did a set of the GM Splash guards....fits well and looks well integrated on the body but on one if mine the white tape shows a tiny bit. ...I could have cut it back before install and it would have been fine..... just test ALL of them first.... an extra set of hands helps get the rears in place just to make sure they are lined up perfect...
