I had two before buying this latest vette, and they are way quicker than most people think, with the above mods they're good for 420+ crank horsepower .............just sayin'
I hang out with a group in the Spring and Fall that run the Dragon , That run Crossfire , You would kick Na Crossfire But the SRT6 is in another world , but I;m like some on here take it to the track , Street Racing more about who ***** are bigger not so much about HP ,

Are you passing other non-racing cars on the road as you are making these runs?

Allow me to be the first.

I'm calling on this guy. Twice at 170 mph on a public highway??

Really doubt it.

Yes, im a new corvette owner. Yes I joined in june. But before I joined when I got my c6. I have been lurking n doing my due diligence here reading n researching vettes for months.

Not to start a flaming contest.

BUT REALLY?

cant find a place you can go 170mph? Wow. How about any interstate highway.

Some of you guys have really hurt vaginas....

why even get a vette or any sports car if you drive like ms daisy. Wtf.
Some of you buy a vette to be a garage queen? 5 year old vettes with 8k miles.

ITS A FKING CAR. ENJOY IT. ITS GONNA DEPRECIATE. No matter what you do or think.

Doubt my kills, I don't really care. Im enjoying my car, n representing the c6 with pride.

unlike some of you pansies, that quiver in fear and make excuses to justify the hurt vagina when challenged.
maybe there's justification for vette owners stereo type.

Yea seems some people should trade your vette and get a Cadillac.

for the record, I was faster n more furious than fast n furious movie.
I got my fd3s rx7 new in 93. Lol. Hate if you like. Dont care. N tyvm.

meanwhile. When some lose some. Im sure that day will come when I get a whoppin. But till then.

Picture me rolling...

A kill hre and thre evry now and then is kool and all...but to glorify it ovr and ovr lke youre somkinda Dominic Toretto wannabe is not. Yes dese cars are fast, and they shine a lot more on the track than thy do on the streets.

PS. Typd this on yor level so youd understand what I is sayin.

op, congrats on your purchase. now act like a responsible adult and stop braggin about the corvette racing everything on the road. you come on here and treat this world class sports car like a Civic with a fart can on it. as stated by another member, a kill (or death) now and then is fine to post...but if you want to brag about it, write a blog..

and btw, it's just a matter of time before you either kill someone, yourself, both and/or crash + get chased or hammered by the police.... any one of the nine things i just mentioned are terrible (and every single one directly terrible for you) enough to make a responsible adult "slow their roll". so do yourself a favor, stop leaving an electronic fingerprint which any half witted investigator could dig up on google to cause you financial mayhem and/or imprisonment....

I have to agree with Tonygxp, but I keep coming back to this thread for more racing stories. He does a good job of narrating his races. I wish he could mount a GoPro camcorder and race on the track and post it on YouTube.

I guess you need a few GoPro's to prove your escapades… Anyone can type they did 170 I guess. I have done 150 in a ZR1 on the back stretch at Spring Mountain and if I had more room would have been up to 170 easy, so I believe it's possible….Now go get those cameras….

This is so interesting to read and maybe that was the point for the OP. So what I did was to find out how fast you could get to 170 MPH. It seems that a 2009 ZR1 got to 184 MPH at the Texas Mile. AND a Hennessey modified 700 HP Vette got to 197 MPH in a mile so your telling me that you got to 170 MPH on some highway not just one but two cars almost side by side and there was nobody in your way? Really, if nothing else it makes for good story telling.

And BTW you did this in broad daylight with the traffic that you show in your picture. Maybe you just like taking pictures of other cool cars. Can't yank this chain. LOL
