An LS3 in a 2800 lb car will provide a very thrilling ride. Certainly would run rings around most any Vette unless you gutted it. Even then don't know whether you could get it down that far. On top of that the Miata is a much shorter wheel base so it will be quicker to react when turning.

But, it's still a Miata.

yes, Bill you're right...it will take any Vette to the cleaners on a track of any kind.
Especially the corners. It may still be a Miata, but it ain't crazy.
Yup, that's crazy stupid $$$...I almost turbocharged my Miata...180 at the wheels would have made it pretty quick.

Cute car for parking lot track speeds, but at 100phm plus, can only imagine just how badly the car will be trying to kill you every chance it gets instead.

If you have to have a Miata plus $42,995 for this conversion and you can buy a used Z06 in that price range then there's NO Comparison in my opinion. Put that Miata on a track at speeds over 100mph and try and hang with a "Z" car and see what happens!

I bought a 2005 Miata brand new back then. I pretty little car and fun to drive but, the bottom line, regardless of what you do to it, it ain't no Vette. That's just my opinion but I have had both.
If you want to compare apples to apples, let me spend $42,999 on my vette and I doubt the Miata would see anything but my taillights for more than a few seconds.
That's my opinion and YMMV!

I had my Miata for three years (08-11) and let me tell you I had the Flying Miata stage one suspension in it with one up tire sizes on 14.8 lb Kosei rims. In the agility and handling department it would run circles around ANY vette. The car was too dam underpowered to do much of anything else tho. That was one car that broke my heart to sell.
