Default FAST 102 Make over

So I received my fast 102 the other day and wanted to give her a make over so she looks all bad *** under the hood.

I hit up Ray and we went and got all the stuff needed to paint the intake manifold. We ended up getting the same paint as my car.

Here are a few pics of the intake right now. Pictures consist of bare, primered, painted. The top of the intake looks silverish but that's because of the fluorescent lights.

We will be shooting some clear tonight and then installing the intake in the next day or two.

Big shout out to ray for helping me out with this project. Learning so many things about painting already.

Here are some more pics guys.

The man himself getting down.

Yesterday Ray and I installed the Fast 102 intake manifold and really cleaned up the car.

Here are some pictures.

Can't wait to see how the car will look with a few other things painted as well...

Once again, thank you very much Ray. You did an outstanding job.

I had the same done, (by a Vette shop) when mine was installed.

I left me engine covers off and am considering valve covers and moving the coils.

Yours came out great and looks pretty Bad-AZZ!

Please tell me that you ported the fast 102 first; before applying the lipstick to it.

Didn't have the intake ported. Once i have my heads ported, then i'll have this port matched to the heads.

This is what i did to achieve the results

Cleaned up the intake really good...
Sprayed some Bull dog adhesive promotor...
Sprayed intake with primer...
Sprayed intake with few coats of PPG paint...
Let it dry over night...
Next day sprayed intake with few coats of clear...
Let it dry and cure for 3 days...
Wet sanded the intake...
Polished it out and then installed it after...

I spent around $150 for paint and material.

All in all, i'm very very happy with the finished product. Its a nice piece of eye candy when i open the hood.

Hoping to have the car dyno tuned very soon to see my gains and compare it to my before and after sheet.

Any other performance mods, (I see a non-stock CAI)?

What year is your C6.

I know the FAST102 does not give big gains to the LS3, but it can vary based on other mods.

If you watch my vid, you will see a quick peek of my FAST!
