Recall
Yes I got a recall notice from GM on my 12 GS. At the bottom it says no part at this time. Called the dealer they know nothing but confirmed no parts to fix the problem yet, what a joke Hey GM Guy: Why send me a recall before you have the parts to cover it? OH!!I know to cover GM's A** if it should cause a wreck and I get killed

Got mine for my '06 a couple weeks ago.
I'll probably just do it myself and see if I can get some kind of reimbursement, which is probably unlikely.

Liability question
So, GM knows that a sudden problem occurs at which time the low beams quit (at night and suddenly no headlights, hm.......)- and have not provided a part to solve this problem?
When someone has an accident due to this problem, it will be interesting.............. There solution is to put on high beams and still no parts....................... Wonder how many Corvette owners have no idea about this?

Burning Brakes
For those who are concerned that they may have an issue and be subject to the recall, my understanding of the problem (perhaps not complete….) is that OVER TIME, DUE TO HEAT from the engine and electrical resistance in the low-beam headlight wiring loom (primarily at the kinks in the fuse box junctions) the low-beam lights may suddenly turn off, especially when subjected to long periods of heat. Given that there hasn't been a design change in the fuse box since the problem was identified, all of the C6 run may--or will--be affected eventually; however, since it seems to be a cumulative fault that gets worse with age and number of heat cycles in the wire loom, the '05-'07s are the first years to be recalled. Later years are also subject to warranty repair if you experience an issue sooner than expected. There is also a great thread on this forum that gives a complete DIY repair that is fairly simple should you want to take it on yourself. I'd find the thread and post a link….but I'm a lazy SOB.
