I jump in the car and take it up to about 85mph( I luckily have a perfect desolate stretch of new pavement nearby)....then back to give a quick rinse to the taillights(because the tail will def pick up road dirt while wet)....then 165 mph blower for a few mins gets every crack/crevice ....mirrors, behind the tag, etc.... no dripping at all.... never even have to touch it with a towel.....

Rain water for me pumped through my pressure washer. Totally free and never leaves spots after evaporation since it's pure H2O at least where I live. I never touch the finish as the water evaporates spot free.

This is all you need.. on sale for $29 at HDepot. Of course, you can now get good cordless ones for more $$ and higher MPH too for more $$..but I personally don't see the need for mo power.

I'm sure most do...but an air compressor with an air nozzle? takes way too long!

Yep. Water spots are not from water. They are from calcium in hard water or from whatever is already on car (most "soaps" contain aggressive detergents that can stay behind for the next time car gets wet)

Only "water system" needed is Water softener.

I like the California Water Blade to get the bulk off first, then a blower and detail spray.

After drying with chamois only, a quick spritz and microfiber towel over entire car with a detail spray - I use blackfire midnight sun, but I'm sure any detail spray will do. Also, not that vettes have much of any chrome, but for water spots on chrome (like on our chevy dually which has an insane amount) - Adams brilliant glaze will take off the most horrible water spots and leave sparkling beauty in it's place - in seconds.

Micro-fiber towel, front to back along the wind lines.
