Default Nav not moving

I have an issue with my 2013 C6 Grand Sport, with my stock Navigation. When i start the car it always shows where I am. But when I start driving the Arrow stays still where I started from. It does not move with the car. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in Advance.

Your GPS antenna could be disconnected from the back of the nav. Do you see the slash across the GPS on the Nav Screen? Try removing the DVD, and reinserting.

Don't know if you have a problem or not, but you could try looking at page 64, 65,.. in the attached manual and seeing if calibrating the unit helps. There's also a section in there under "Emergency" which is supposed to display your current position. You could try that and see if your current position changes when you move to some other location. If it does, but the pointer on the map doesn't move, then that might tell you where the problem lies. Of course, if you don't have a GPS signal at all as pointed out above, it has no way to figure out where you are.

Should have asked this first have read your first post again. You say, when you start the car, it always shows where you are. So, does that mean if you drive somewhere else and shut the car off, and then restart, then the GPS arrow shows your new location, but doesn't change position as your car moves? Does the map move at all, or is the whole thing frozen in place? I'd say that if when you restart in a new location, and your new location shows in the map, you must be getting a GPS signal.

Well, I searched the net as best as I could for someone reporting the same problem but came up empty. You probably did the same. You could try cleaning the DVD that had the map data, but my direct experience is that if it can’t read the disc, it will let you know. Nonetheless, it’s the least intrusive and least risky thing to try first. If that doesn’t make any difference, then sometimes weird problems with the car’s electronics can be solved with a system reboot. If and only if you know how to safely disconnect the car battery, then disconnect the -ve battery cable at the battery post and wait 20 minutes. That should be enough time for all the modules to bleed down. I suggest that if you’re going to do that, leave the driver window down and hood up to avoid any possibility of locking yourself out of the car with the battery disconnected. Then reconnect the battery and reindex the windows if they don’t close all the way up. Then see if the display is working properly.

-ve will be sufficient. The less you touch, the less there is to go wrong.

**see correction below**

I might be wrong about the above. Disconnect them both, but -ve first (always), then +ve. When you reconnect, +ve first, then -ve.
