What is this?
Up in the far left corner of the driver foot well there is a small piece of metal that looks kind of like a valve stem. What is it. Car is a 2006 vert

I'll guess it's an old school mild2wild NPP exhaust switch. Push it with your foot and see what happens.

I see a switch that "Dims" my exhaust, and a screw post that holds the dead pedal in place.

Some of the really old ones had a start button on the floor - am I old or what?? LOL Had a 52 Plymouth with one --

I'm 66 years old and after the replies I got my glasses and a flashlight and discovered it was a shiny bolt holding the footrest on.
